If you notice he mentions that using them in a derogatory fashion is not allowed. Since it was not used in such a manner it was not removed. Have you ever thought that perhaps those individuals whom you feel would be offended, simply weren't? Perhaps they took it the statement for what it was and did not make a big deal about it, since it obviously wasn't derogatory.
