That thread is laden with the stench of ignorance.

Moorea you know there is a report post button...it would probably work out better to use that than to quote a post a mod may never read.
Due to the ambiguity in his post you may want to ask him what it is he meant by his statement, as the word has 2 very different meanings. No need to play PC police when you could ask the guy directly to remove his post, then report him if he refuses and you still feel he is in the wrong.

I did report the post - and only replied here after the post stayed as is for 24h- and I seriously doubt he meant to say bots are a fun/joyous bunch

This is a multinational bored and he is posting with a sig that lists his EU team, I would talk to him prior to condemning him in public. While I agree with you I would also hope he wouldn't be so brash. The majority of his other posts on the forum are constructive, leading me to believe it may be language conflict and not hatred.

It is a figure of speech for me. Nothing personal hate towards gay people, they are a cool bunch in my world. Im sorry if some of you may find it offensive, this was not my intentions.

What I meant to say is, that botting suck and I don't like bots.

If an admin or forum mod want me to delete and/or change the initial post ill gladly do so.

Botting = playing like a Mexican

That must be legit too, right? I totally agree with Moorea on this point.

Mods, please delete my post too. I'm just hoping to bring an obvious example to those defending using the term "gay" in a deragatory way as acceptable. It doesn't matter if you have 1,000 gay friends, using the term to associate something as being negative is bashing, whether intended or not.

I don't think there was any malice in his post or his intention was to offend anyone. However, that doesn't mean the post shouldn't get deleted. I'm not sure how the logic of millions of people using the expression results in it being acceptable, but I'm sure you can figure that one out yourself.

the good news is when logic fails there is always the ignore button (even though it's burried pretty deep in the UI)

Just to clarify - using terms like 'gay', 'fag', etc in a derogatory fasion are not welcome on this forum for obvious reasons. There are nearly 30000 registered users on DB now, and boxing isn't restricted to straight people only.

It's not a censorship issue, it's about respecting others regardless of their choice of sexuality.

I'm leaving the thread open, since I don't beleive any offense was meant and Seldum was quick to clarify.

    Cheers,
