Default ISBoxer and Windows 7 x64

I was successful in getting Innerspace and ISBoxer to run in W7 x64 with one exception. Windows Layout. At the moment all windows I launch are loading on the main screen and at full screen. none go to the 2nd screen at 1/4 screen size. They also won't respond to rolling between each IS screen. All are in windowed mode and ingame shows custom resolution. I did import my profile from XP64. Could that be part of my problem. Need help.

not sure if the import function works in isboxer. What I did was save my window setup to an .xml file, erase isboxer config, and open the saved windows .xml file in notepad. Copy all that is in notepad, in isboxer right-click "window layouts" and paste. should give you the same config you had in xp. if that does not work in the regions part, where it says "pre-defined compter", click that and choose "current computer".

if that does not work, then you may have to just bite the bullet and redo your windows config. It does not take that long and there is a wizard for it "auto layout" to help you

I have tried what you suggested and still Innerspace is not working correctly. I also tried what Lax has on his webpages concerning W7. I tried to run it on both XP and Vista compatiablity with no luck. I am not sure of what else to try.
I have also tried building thru IS boxer from the beginning. I have also discovered that Key repeating isn't work either. All boxes for Dx10 are unchecked as well as full screen is unchecked.
Display is set at 2 monitors with the 24in being the main and a 19in as the 2nd monitor. I have even put all turbine launches in compatiabilty mode. I have tried pre-defined and current computer. Still nothing. IS windows launch but after that no windowsnapper nor keyrepeating. Could it be possible that I will have to install these manually? I can still play under XP64 with no issues at all. I am open to suggestions on what to try next.

I just downloaded ISBoxer on Win7 64-bit and began configuring yesterday. I too ran into some issues at first, but mine was that the 2nd monitor's windows weren't aligning correctly (they were offsetting in the X-). Since I'd been using Keyclone in the past, I just set up and exported the .max files from there, imported them into ISBoxer's Window Layout and all was good.

To make your own maximizer config file, open notepad and copy/paste. Here's the text out of mine for editing with some explanation below it:

    D,1,600
    R,'region1','\\.\DISPLAY1',0,0,1280,1024,(112.0),( 800x600),0
    R,'region2','\\.\DISPLAY2',0,0,640,512,(0.0),(-1x-1),0
    R,'region3','\\.\DISPLAY2',640,0,640,512,(0.0),(-1x-1),0
    R,'region4','\\.\DISPLAY2',0,512,640,512,(0.0),(-1x-1),0
    R,'region5','\\.\DISPLAY2',640,512,640,512,(0.0),(-1x-1),0

You probably simply need to create a new window layout. Your screen layout (how your monitors are set up next to each other) according to Windows probably changed in the upgrade, and what ISBoxer had stored as your PC's screen layout is no longer correct. Simply creating a New Window Layout will solve this problem, or you can modify your existing window layout -- start by selecting "<Current Computer>" from the drop-down box on the Regions panel that says "<Pre-defined Computer>" (note that after changing it, you have defined it, and the next time you open the Regions panel again it will return to saying <Pre-defined Computer>)

You can type in the numbers yourself in the ISBoxer fields if you like. Making a .max file was probably the long route

I'm not sure I follow what you're saying though. I understand you're suggesting there's a bug in ISBoxer, but I don't know what it would be without more information. I am going to assume for now that it's the same thing as the original poster

I did create a new layout, infact I created a whole new profile from scratch, Using the wizard. UAC is turned off as well. But I will try it again

Unless you have font sizes changed in Windows it should do everything correctly. I've noticed that changing the font size in Windows does some weird things

Ok, I tried it creating a new one and still no luck. I even went to just one monitor with 2 smaller IS beneath them. It failed as well.

I will try to contact you once I get setup at work on the laptop. Even though the problem is at home I can chat with you on irc
