    Default 4 locks + healer

I'm currently playing 4 locks + healer (druid) and having a lot of fun. The only team I've ever played for PvP are 5 x shaman and while I do actually like the locks more, I find that healing is lacking a bit. I know it's early and I'm hoping it'll improve later, but I find myself very vulnerable when I'm focus fired by 3-5 people - especially if they focus on my healer.

It might be lack of AE fear because of the low level, but I was just wondering if this is a temporary scenario due to my low level (20 atm), if it's something I need to learn to counter or if it's just me who's used to the massive healing of 5 shaman

You are but one man . . . Yeah you won't reach the same level as chain heal x5 obviously but it gets a ton better. Priests are tough to beat for AoE healing. You won't get some of the better spells until around to 60.

I am running a 5 locks squad with no healer. At lvl 25 with herloom shoulders, chest and staff I feel like a team of suicide dot machines of death and destruction.

Until level 20 I was feeling very squishy. Then got soul link and always use voidwalker in BGs for the sacrifice shield.

Run into the horde group with sacrifice shield on and instadot everyone is a sure death for them no matter what. Sure I die alot, but the whole way to play changes. With shamans I usually go deffensive from time to time... but with the locks I go full offensive.

What I have seen is that in AB even a full group of lvl 29 people would back up from the base I am defending instead of coming to fight with me. Have had a couple of times half horde raid leave some base just when they see me coming. This has never happened to me before when running my shamans. I guess people just get scared when they get 10 dots and 5 voidwalkers chasing them.

One think you should take in mind is that voidwalker taunt works with hunter pets. For now I don't have seed of corruption, but when I get it that will become the ultimate antihunter weapon. SoC the pet x 5 and send it with the voidwalkers/felguards to the middle of the horde group for a big BOOM

Think that it will get even better when I get hellfire and felguard in 25 levels more.

Rain of Fire isn't so hot, unless you are dropping 4 of em, lol. I also think Hellfire x4 plus Circle of Healing, Holy Nova and Prayer of Healing spam would make for quite the melee suicide squad.

The sacrifice move is pretty nice - especially in a party with 5 locks, but with a healer, the healer becomes the weak link and a really tempting target if locks are all buffed up. And my druid is weak enough as it is :P

Soullink does sound good though - I may have to consider respeccing to demonology, since affliction doesn't make a big difference just yet (10% extra damage to CoA and corruption is nice, but nothing big - grim reach and improved fear are good though and curse of exhaustion and siphon life will be nice too, but I'm not getting those for a few more levels). Decisions decisions.

If you're on a pvp server, pvp is a threat all the way up.
If you're not, then spec whichever is the fastest way to level.

For PvE, that's generally Affliction until you get Felguards.
And then it depends on whether you're taking fewer harder/higher things or massive lower things.
Either approach is a very fast leveling pace.

If you're going the BG leveling route, then a PvP gearing/spec is essentially forced on you.
The same as playing on a PvP server.

A drain team, something like SL/SL from a couple of arena seasons ago might be good in that case.
Soul Link for extra survival, and Siphon Life (as part of your Corruption dot).

    Talking

Just got a great mail from a GM and thought it was appropriate to this thread as I am running 5 locks at the moment, currently level 68.
It will hopefully make you chuckle, I know it made me.

So keep the faith, 5 warlocks can cause some serious mayhem in the battlegrounds!

when I played a warlock (solo) I thought I was kind of squishy. lately in the BG's I'm finding warlocks almost impossible to kill. Do they have some type of shield or sacrifice pet or is there just a good healer following these guys. Is that a demon spec thing?

They have a kind of Shield. This Shield is an abbility of the Voidwalker better known as 'Captain Blaue Wolke' in Germany :P. As far as i remember this is a Magicability that can be dispellt.
