Play the combination that is most enjoyable.
If that is full melee, then that works. If its part ranged and part melee, that's fine too.
The bottom line is, are you having fun with your team?

I'm going to level a team of warlocks, without RAF.
Mixing things up will help to keep the game new and exciting.
For me personally, they will be horde side, and having not leveled any horde race to double digits ever before, this will be a new experience.
0 to 60 (well 80 really) can seem to be a long grind, but doing it on another faction will hopefully make everything new and more exciting.
I'd like to have two PvP groups, one per faction.
Horde (affliction) warlocks and alliance (balance) druids.

Firstly I suppose I should introduce myself. I have been following DB.com for a while now, and growing bored of pve I decided to try out some boxing on Khaz with Li's guild Alliance of Heroes. At the moment I only three box, but after the university year ends I may increase that to four. Im boxing an all melee team atm, feral druid, ret pally, and rogue (looking to add enh sham). So naturally this threat interests me.

I have searched through the forums and even done a google search but I cant seem to find any info on this auto interact? At the moment Im just using in my dps macro /follow but I can see how that is going to fail badly at late stage pve so I can see that Im gonna need to find another method - it seems that this is it?

    wtb details!

Step 1) Turn on click-to-move in the mouse options
Step 2) Bind a key to "interact with target"
Step 3) Have slave assist main
Step 4) Spam interact with target , targets with click-to-move will run up to their targets and interact (aka auto attack if in combat)

Tap your back arrow. *shrug* That's all I do. I personally have it set up that :

1 = Avenger's Shield + Divine Plea + /jamba-follow melee or whatever the command is
Tab = unbound from everyone except my melee toons {enh shaman and up and coming ret paladin}, who have it as thier secondary interact with target button
    2 = all spam

So I run up to where I want to tank, spam 1 to pull mobs and call melee up to me, then spam tab a few times and start spamming DPS. If they start running or going in circles, I just stop spamming 2 and tap backwards and then interact...takes no time at all. It's the click-to-move part that gets glitchy, not the interact. Break the auto-move that they're doing and they're fine.

I have my paly team to 39 now! I am going to make a rog team next for fun!

For the problem of running off into the distance while spamming interact, I simply have /follow focus at the end of my DPS macro ( using /click ) When a target dies, i just hit that or my follow key. You have to be "aware" that they will run off and be ready to hit follow or back arrow at all times. It is a small problem in the scope of things.

In fact it is this "running around the target" that makes me want to do rogues. I think they will chew people up in seconds. I'm not sure how any of these melee teams will do in high level PvP, But i am having a blast in the noob BGs with them!

    I <3 Interact with target!

Well this proved to be a lot of fun!
Right now, I'm spamming one key for interact and another for all my attacks.
Any advice on how to word it in a macro so I can combine them?

I thought Interact was a protected function.
Basically we can keybind it and spam it, but cannot call it in a macro or script.

I've been boxing melee toons since late 2007. I find the new 'interact with target' function very helpful. It does the job of orienting the toons in the right direction for melee purposes. I now no longer have to turn my toons manually, or force my toons to run/fight in a straight line.

However, because of the glitch with 'click to move' (e.g. your toons running off) binding the forward and backward keys may still be necessary to prevent it. e.g. I tap the forward/backward keys once as my toons are close to the mob as it stops the running, which should prevent the glitch.

For PvE purposes it might help if you don't spam the 'interact with target' key (unless it's necessary); you shouldn't need to anyway since most NPCs don't move as fast as players do.

How does this work for pvp? As i read the thread when you hit your interact with target key the toons will run up to where the target is currently and then interact with them. If the current target moves do the toons still stay in the same spot? In pvp you would then be able to spam the interact with target and stay facing the right way? This could be awesome.
