With a moving target, they move on one click to where the mob was when you clicked.
Spam works better.
How does it work in pvp with a melee team spamming it?
Anyone had any sucess in pvp with a melee team yet? Seems like it would be difficult for some of the fear reasons but also because of the travel time issues. With a ranged class the toons can target and act on a wide range of opponents without having to constantly run up to them all the time. I am not sure as i have only just started playing around with some really low level pally. I had a DK team back in the day but didn't like them much... same with my druid team.
EDIT:
I have been playing around with it and its RANGE is HUGE. It is hard to target a mob who is out of range. I did manage to do this but the mob was just about out of sight for it to be out of range. The thing i have been struggling with is that i can't seem to be able to put it in a macro.

Kromtor seems to be having alot of success with melee boxing in PvP. He was above 2k in 5v5 with his DK + 4 Ret Pallys last I looked. I think there are a few others as well that are doing quite well. I am too busy leveling at the moment so I havnt tried![]()
Will wait on the expansion next year see where we are at with Melee classes, also I want a 5 man Cow Ret Team, and maybe do a 5 man goblin team. What I really want is a 1 Cow, 4 goblin team when expansion comes out, and a 5 man Worgen team.
Daggerspine Alliance: Phoebus(Tank), Soozanuna(Heals/Tailor), Angakak (Enchanter), Wakantanaka(Herb/Alch), Znakharka, Jonhyone(JC), Marious(Other Tank/BS), Magnux(Enchanter), Coyolxhauqui(LW)
Over in the pvp forum, there's a group of Ret pallies close to 2000 rating in 5's.
So, there is potential in melee boxing.
I'd imagine they're using Interact With Target.
Cannot see any other method to move multiple paladins to moving pvp opponents.
Thanks Ualaa.
Hey Rowdy, I suspect this is how those rogues are pulling it off when they look like they're running in 5 different directions at once. I tried it out last night, and if your enemy is moving around, because of server latency trying to communicate to the enemy which way you're moving, you do end up looking like you are running in one direction, then suddenly you're running the other way.
I would think an enhancement might be an excellent option to include with melee.
Not sure if they'd be a good option with several of them.
Well, not a bad option either, just not sure if they're the best.
In the near future (3.3, assuming no changes), they'll have Magma Totems and the new PBAoE Fire Nova spell.
They can stagger Tremors for partial fear immunity, or go with Stoneclaw, Stoneskin, Strength of Earth, Earthbind etc.
Groundings vs casters, and a windfury totem.
Several healing stream totems for passive heals.
They won't have a ton of spell power, so healing as far as their own spells won't be huge, but its still an option.
Mail armor will make them less squishy then a Cat druid or Rogue in melee, especially when stunned.
They won't be as durable as a warrior or paladin.
I know a mixed team is harder to box, but...
A single enhancement, with a mixed group of melee or mostly one other class.
I see most of the benefits of enhancement from having one, and improving other melee.
1 enhancement + 4 ret would work very well in arenas, obviously not so great in instances. the enh sham can provide the team with the same great group melee buffs as the DK without having to do a crazy double dip blood/frost spec that hurts dps
