Thread: Melee FTL

    Default Melee FTL

    Hey,

I need abit of help. I've decided to try out a melee team after playing with casters for abit. I used an FTL setup with a group of shaman that worked near flawlessly. But now I am having to change a few things.

At the moment with my melee team I am using this for targeting, once I have the target I press my button to interact with target.

    /target [mod:ctrl,mod:shift,nomod:alt,target=ToonA]
    [mod:ctrl,mod:alt,nomod:shift,target=ToonB]
    [mod:alt,mod:shift,nomod:ctrl,target=ToonC]
    [mod:ctrl,mod:alt,mod:shift,target=ToonD]
    /assist

It works but the problem is that if I switch to another screen that has this macro on the bar (my usual 'main' toon doesnt have the macro on the bar because of this problem) it will target one of the toons while the rest get the correct target. If you see what I mean...

I would prefer to keep with an FTL like setup because I am used to it. But what I have at the moment doesnt quite work when I need to change toons quickly.

Any help? What do you other melee boxers use?

Not sure that this will help you a whole lot or not.

I couldn't get FTL to work initially.
But having switched to InnerSpace + ISBoxerToolkit, FTL is automatic.

Just give each toon a unique set of FTL checks in the boxes.
    The options are L-Alt, R-Alt, L-Shift, R-Shift, L-Ctrl, R-Ctrl.
    I believe I'm using L-Alt, R-Alt, L-Ctrl, R-Ctrl, L-Alt + L-Ctrl.
It generates the FTL macro's automatically.

You can enable auto follow to the new leader on a PiP switch.
Or only follow when a key is pressed. But its the same key regardless of leader, and the others follow the current "hot" toon.
You can also turn on or off Jamba Strobe following.

It's a really strong feature of IS.

    try adding
    /stopmacro [nomod]
to the beginning of yer ftl macros this will stop the macro when switching toons

You could have it so the leader uses one action bar and alts use a different one. Each toon has 2 action bars and a key on each bar saying use action bar 1 on me and use action bar 2 on alts.
Using HKN, you could add that to the switch button, not sure about clicking windows.
RAF Tour Guide files are obsolete, I went to Zygor
    MultiBoxers play with themselves

Uh wouldnt FTL be a bad idea for melee? I mean you miss out on all the white hits if they have no target right?

Only thing I use ftl for is targeting and follow. With melee I use click to move and interact combo they move to target and start meleeing no idea what yeh mean with by "miss out on all the white hits "

I think he means that if you have FTL setup for the special attacks, then you would only move to the target to do that one attack and then no longer follow.

However you can still do such if you just spam your interact with target key.
