Thread: Clickboxer

    Default Clickboxer

    Hey everyone,

I would love to start using clickboxer, but tbh, I don't got a clue on where I have to import the xml file of it.. or how to link the actions of the click command to an actual mapped key or anything..

If anyone could give me a push in the right direction, would be great!

    Thanks in advance!

Ok, I missed the obvious again!

The layout files presented below can be pasted into an XML file (create a new file, paste, and save as ClickBoxer.XML for example) and placed in the Interface folder of your Inner Space installation.
But my question still stays accurate:
Can I bind clicks to the mapped keys or?

Sry if I'm missing another obvious point by asking this

You cannot bind a Clickboxer button to a mapped key. (Unless Lax added this functionality since I last talked to him about it) Clickboxer is specifically sending keystrokes, it's not aware of any macros or even mapped keys. I used it for healing until I got comfortable using keybinds. If you're wanting to use it for healing, I would strongly recommend using repeater regions instead of Clickboxer. Unless the idea of GUI creation in XML is really easy for you.

You can use clickboxer to send the key that the ISBoxer wow macro is bound to, netting the same result as if you hit whatever the mapped key was. ie- If you mapped Num1 to send a wow macro bound to F1, then use clickboxer to just send F1 directly.

I'd recommend rethinking your goals for this though, since everything I was trying to use it for I have since accomplished by using click-through regions and regular wow addons like VuhDo. This also saves me from having to load the clickboxer UI every time I start my boxing group.

    Hey guys,

Thx a lot for the information, very helpful!

Well to start off, writing a decent layout in xml is pritty easy for me. My job is to create applications in Silverlight + WPF + Surface, which use xaml (this is xml like). So it shouldn't be too hard :-)

But atm I'm not sure if i'm just gonna use the repeater regions or clickboxer.

    Clickboxer pro's:
    - Able to put labels
    - A lot of buttons in a rather small area
    - So, adding a lot functionality but keeping your ui clean

    Clickboxer cons:
    - Harder to implement
    - Not sure if lax will keep this in ISBoxer 2
    - Repeater regions will go a lot faster and is easier to edit.

I guess I'll keep thinking about this for a while and decide if I'm willing to spend my time in implementing Clickboxer

    Thx again!

You will have a nice interface for creating ClickBoxer-like UI

Sounds great Lax. Looking forward to try it out. I hope it will be as stable etc. as the current version.
