Thread: To start again?

    Default To start again?

Shortly after Wrath released, I rolled a Death Knight, and started playing it solo, to experience the content "from the perspective it was designed for". I wanted to be able to focus on the quests and the story rather than whether or not my other char was keeping up and all that sort of thing. After getting the Northrend Loremaster achievement and doing some raids and stuff I stuck with the DK as a solo character. For some time I've stopped calling myself a multiboxer, my second account has been inactive for a while, and my two warlocks ("the twins") have not leveled past 70.

I'm getting the itch though, to start again.

Funnily enough it's not memories of my locks at level 67 downing a 70 feral druid decked out in arena gear, or other such encounters that tempt me back, it's the times in Ironforge when I wound up innocent bystanders. When someone would notice the identical characters and make a fuss, and the twins would react seperately, and then argue between themselves. Accuse each other of being ugly (totally identical remember!) and ultimately scare the poor fool away.

It's those moments that are drawing me back in.

What do you guys do for fun while idling in a capital city? Inspire me!

Stopped multiboxing to experience raid content with friends.
    Was 2-boxing warlocks until Wrath.
    Regularly lurks, very occasionally posts.

Actually I try to keep a low profile, because when I started boxing the abuse wouldn't stop.
Recently however people have become really friendly and taken a genuine interest in boxing.

    It is amazing the change.

I've always been a bit of a low flier. When everybody else was setting up Chain Heal light shows in Orgrimmar, or "drinking the tears" of the QQ on the forums, I was trying to stay under the radar. Not because I was afraid, I just wanted to play the game and not be inundated with the opinions of morons.

Nevertheless, I would inevitably get at least one /tell each time I ran through Org. Some were cool "Awesome dude" types of tells, but more often than not, it was the guy who had to belabor me with all of the ways that I was ruining his life.

Lately, however, I get very few negative tells. I get a lot of laughs, and a fair number of the cool tells, but very few negative ones. I guess people have just decided to accept it, or maybe, finally realized that we really aren't hurting them after all. Whatever the reason, I'm glad.
No matter where you go, there you are.

well when im on my mostly identical shaman team, I usually press the spread out utton and do synchronized spellcasting and totem farms.... when im on my mixed team I usually just /dance. On my mages i usually stand by the bank in IF and collect tips for porting people to Dal... I was thinking about parking my 3 mages in different cities, spamming for ports free gold for me. Sometimes I mount up and stand in a line, and try and see if everyone else mounts on the same mount and lines up too... fun with the kodos, and rams hehe

Same here. I try to look as inconspicuous as i can, but hell, all my guild mates and friends know me so they always wave at all the toons. And the hate on Madoran isn't 1% of what it used to be.

I have occasionally done things like 20 totems spaced out etc.
For the most part, I just want to play the game and not be treated any different then others.

In the last week, I've had two different players hang out with me for around an hour each.
They basically wanted to see what I could do, and one of them asked a ton of questions about boxing.
I mentioned this site, and answered as well as I could.

During the same week, I had an alliance (I'm alliance too) emote the /spit on two of my toons.

    Not so bad.
75% or more of the people who comment on what I do are curious or friendly.
The ones who are idiots can be ignored easily enough, even if they're a waste of time to actually /ignore.

    i own.

hhaha, specifically go to horde/or alliance city and destroy butt (4 boxing)
umm.. go find a tank to do heroics with
light up the sky with chain lightning in arena (High Five: 1750) woot!

personally talking to people about multiboxing is reallllly annoying for me.
so i just have a macro or 2 for the possible questions i get. and send em to dual-boxing.com
