This achievement is so much easier now after the nerf, that I could just burn him down without worrying about having an offtank.

Just missing the achievement for Volasj's quick demise now to get my red proto drakes, but that one is gonna be tricky since I don't have the insane gear that Nilus has, so I'm not able to burn him fast enough to skip insanities.
I'll just have to practice improving my ability box through the insanities. I have done it several times, just need to do it faster.

For quick demise I have never been able to skip insanity, I get him to about 33% before it goes off. What I do is send my Priest in to die, then 4 man it. Insanity is easy now with IWT, I just tab target, IWT on slaves, fire off a couple of spells, tab again, IWT, etc. takes about 20 or 30 sec. As soon as insanity ends I can usually burn him down the rest of the way before 2nd insanity, but even if I don't make it there is still plenty of time to go through a 2nd insanity before 2 min is up.

Thanks! I just used a modified version of the two tank strategy where the second tank would normally wait outside his room to taunt the guardian to keep it far enough away, but since they changed it to only spawn one the whole fight, I was able to just burn him instead.

Got insanity by dpsing hard on my shaman. They were all dps at the time, so I can see how having a healer would complicate it.

I've thought about speccing dps on my tank and healer for it, but since my tank's 2h skills are all unleveled, it would take a bit of effort so I haven't tried that yet. Already use IWT to face my casters the right way during insanities though.
