I leveled my first team with RAF and now I'm leveling another team without RAF.

I find it very rewarding and fun to level my second team without RAF. The good thing is that now I can do instances without vastly outlevel the instance after killing the first boss. This makes things feel good when you down some instance.
I think I missed lots of fun leveling my first team using RAF.
Also with the BGs giving XP, yo can always go PvP when you get stuck on some level. Once you reach lvl 20 leveling through BGs is a very viable option and you end gaining practically the same XP/hour doing quests or doing BGs, so it's up to you.

With my new boomkins team hiding in a bush and firing Orbital Strikes (Starfire) and Satellite Lazers (Moonfire) oneshoting everything has never been so fun in PvP.
