    Default

For me, Keyclone was far easier to set up.

Basically with Keyclone, the default is to broadcast every keystroke all the time.
There is a pause key to turn this functionality off, so you can type to others etc.
You can also whitelist/blacklist certain keys.
The whitelist means only those keys are broadcast, while the blacklist means certain keys are never broadcast.

With keyclone you'd choose your assist method.
The easiest is to assist your focus.
Keyclone has "maximizer" which divides your screen into windows, generally one large window to play in and "x" smaller windows, which you can swap with the large window. For me, swaps were 2-3 seconds.
Assign a maximizer swap key to each window, I used Control F1 through Control F5 for 5-boxing.
Then in wow, on the same keybind as each swap create a key for each toon on the team.
The key will be to the effect of /Focus ToonName, with the toon you are switching to as the focus.
Then all of your spells/abilities can either be:
    /cast [target=focustarget] Lightning Bolt
/castsequence [target=focustarget] Elemental Mastery, Flame Shock, Lava Burst, Chain Lightning, Frost Shock
    Or..
/assist focus (for melee classes or hunters who need to target their target).
    /cast Serpent Sting

As a new boxer I'd recommend Keyclone.

With IS Boxer the default is to only broadcast (keyboard, mouse or both) when you turn broadcasting on.
While broadcasting is off, you only broadcast preconfigured "keymaps".
You can go with a whitelist and blacklist too, but for ISBoxer I don't see the point as you can set it to only broadcast the keymaps you want.

With IS Boxer, I'd recommend checking the FTL assist method, which is built for you.
Assign a different modifier to each member of your team.
Mine are: Left Alt, Right Alt, Left Control, Right Control and Left Alt + Left Control.
Your DPS keys, 1 through 0 and minus and equal keys automatically use this FTL.
So if you press the 1 key, every other toon on the team will also press the 1 key and be casting at the same target - so you don't need to create fancy macro's for the team to assist each other, although macro's can greatly improve how your team works.
This is a major strength of IS Boxer - you can set up FTL with other programs, but this is automatic and easy to set up.

IS Boxer has the equivalent of a Maximizer, with hotkeys for switching, but you can also click in the window for the swaps.
The swaps are so quick with IS Boxer, well under a second. When I press G13 and G14 (alternate between them), the swaps are so quick its hard to follow. This is a major strength of IS Boxer.

With IS Boxer, you can turn on "repeater" for mouse or keyboard repeating.
By default, mouse and keyboard repeating (broadcasting) are turned on together or off together.
I've modified my keymaps (which is pretty easy to do), to create one for keyboard and a different one for mouse.
With mouse repeating, you can pick talents simultaneously, click the fires for world events, click portals on multiple screens etc. For ground target spells, IS Boxer blows keyclone away.
With repeater regions, you can set up click heal type addons with say Grid and Clique, so your tank can have the healer do a heal, by left (or right) clicking on the tanks Grid and having it broadcast to the healer.

Both software options have wizards to set up.
And both authors give strong support for their products.

For chatting, in Keyclone you need to press the Pause key, to turn broadcasting off.
In ISBoxer, you need to disable Keymaps or every key which is used in a map will not be typed in the chat frame.

ISBoxer uses the G15/G11 keyboard right in the software.
You can bind to M1 light for example.
Keyclone can use the G15 too, but its not integrated into the software - meaning use Profiler software for the G15 the same as you would for other applications.
To get the G15 to work with ISBoxer, I need to start it and then end task. Otherwise, even though its not auto run and has not been started, G1 through G12 functions as the macro I put on it, and also functions as pressing that F-key, G1 = G1 macro + F1 key.
With ISBoxer, I need to enable Keymaps and then disable Keymaps to enter my password (if I want to use the numbers above the letters, otherwise only the numbers on the number pad work for me).
