My advice: Pick a faction and stick to it. It's so much easier to deal with it all if all of your toons are on the same server, in the same faction. Plus this allows you to get the BoA gear for all of your leveling alts, which helps tremendously.
If you really want more toons RAF'd up to 60 and no longer have any RAF, what I did, was to just add 2 vanilla wow accounts to 2 of your existing accounts, and boost up 4 at a time. You are a bit more limited in terms of gift levels though. Then once you are done/tired of boosting, just transfer any toons from the new RAF accts you would like to keep onto your other 2 accts, and be done with it. I pretty much have every toon I'd ever want at 60+, save a rogue and a warrior, which I'm not all that interested in, but a friend of mine is just starting out in WoW, so I did RAF the way it was intended and am leveling a rogue. Take advantage of RAF if you get it again, you may not want to go through the grind over and over, but RAF sure as hell beats nothing.
So if you dont already have BoA gear, get that out of the way first. Chest and shoulders minimum, but if you get weapons and trinkets too, it's even better. I haven't done AV leveling since the nerf, but it can't be that bad, especially now that there arent any more geared out 80s one shotting you.
