Two Words Shortbus
Kind of an eye catcher, but funny none the less.
"It always feels better once it quits hurting"
one of the best ideas i've ever seen was based on professions - if you're making 5 x tailors name them like Boss, Armani, Gucci then everything will have "Made by Boss". Same with the others.
I wonder if it makes people less or more suspicious, but I get way less commentary with my current group. I didn't want to think up anything clever and I didn't want to go with (Name, Nayme, Naime, Naeme) so I just used the random generator until I had names that weren't silly. People still stop and stare, but I get almost no comments. When I had a group that was the same names except for one letter, I think that made people more suspicious. I dunno.
"Multibox : !! LOZERS !!" My multiboxing blog
I've tried a few different things
1. I didn't like all different names like Joe,Bob, Ralph, Alice.... it was just annoying to remember who was on what account, etc.
2. the only think worse was yarlii, yariil, yarili, yarill, yarlli ( I still have those but it's impossible to have the bank toon send to anyone specific ) I end up sending stuff to yarili and have to trade it later to the right person. I absolutely hate this teams naming convention. it might have been cool on a PVP server but I only PVE anyway.
I never have problem with pallishous, pallishousa, pallishousb, pallishousc, pallishousd
I always know A is a JC, B is a alchemy, C is skinner, d enchanter, etc.
X Five, a Galakrond alliance guild for multiboxers
pally/shaman (thiliander/xenoca) , Shaman/Hunters (Zhedrar), Priest/Warlocks(Yarili,Yarlii,Yariil,Yarlli,Yarill)
I always struggled naming my toons, with my greatest accomplishment being "Owltoid" for moonkins. I know, not the best, but it's one of the few names I've ever really liked.
Now I just name my guys The guy, Which guy, That guy, Other guy, This guy and just try to come up with come adjective that is four letters or less.
For gnomes I have: puny, tiny, tall
For dwarves I have: ugly, fat, thin
For the shamans I have: blue
For my currently retired DK + Pally team, I have 4 female dwarves: DrunkHelga, DrunkBertha, DrunkOlga, DrunkFrida, and one gnome DK named ChubChaser.
Owltoid, Thatblueguy, Thisblueguy, Otherblueguy, Whichblueguy
I went different while keeping the names the same. Everyone seems to change out a vowel, I just change out a consonant.
My mixed team: Rou, Tou, Pou, Gou, Xou (and I have reserved with level 1 toons: Zou, Bou, Sou, Dou, Vou).
My newest 5 shaman, 5 warlocks, 5 paladins sets are all after a character in a book who was Elfric. I put a consonant in front of that for 21 possible combinations: Belfric, Celfric, Delfric, etc (using Y too).
On my previous server I was: Malgor, Palgor, Dalgor, Ralgor, Salgor.
SWTOR -The Shadowlands Server - PVE Republic
Malgor - 50 Soundrel Bonesaw : Hath - 50 Commando
Wilma & Betti - 50 Dual-boxing Sages
D3: Kaean#1993 and Malgor#1327
I just started a new 5x DK team for PvP and use:
Udderlycool
Udderlypimp
Udderlysweet
Udderlydead
Udderlybeef
Silly, but makes them easy to distinguish, yet hard for people to single out.
I like vowels. Five of them in the alphabet and wait a minute.... I'm 5boxing.
Last group is 4 locks and a priest until I got to Northrend and subbed in a pally for tanking.
