Looking for Mod to deal with Gankers

Looking for a mod that gives an alert (visual or audio or both) that let's me know when someone that is on my list is around the vicinity.

The closest mod I found was last updated over a year ago.

Over a year ago the possibilities of addons werent as limited as they are today... In those days there was a command for getting the distance to enemies, nowadays it only works for friendly targets...

Also you cannot use playernames as a UnitID (which is required in those commands), who are not in your party or raid.

The "best" possibility is the mouseover as UnitID, as in the arena addons, where the enemies are after a mouseover listed in a frame... but I think you wont always cover the hole screen of all wow windows with your mouse

You can still use VanaKOS mod as it is still working.

They (VanaKOS) both work the same, just depends on which layout you prefer.

They both read the combat log to detect any names listed which do not belong to your faction. They both support mouseover detection as well as bringing up anything within V-targets range (10-15 feet).

Is that one of the addons that lights up your screen RED when someone targets you?

Certainly I think the addon that watches combat log for

"Nastyrogue gains stealth" still work. I think you would need to use the combat log range script to improve those though.
