Default Clips of my "new" mages

Finally got my mage video done. I intentionally made my guys the "underdogs" in this by taking them into AB at 63 and trying to go up against 68s and 69s who were obviously Northrend starter geared; they have more HP and the level difference makes it harder to just burn them down. I think it came out OK overall.

Note: The audio was not my first choice, nor the one I edited the video around. YouTube nerfed my first upload by killing the audio track. Apparently they have an agreement with Sony to mute all audio in a video if they detect any part of the audio being from a song Sony owns the copyright to. And here I thought that YouTube claimed about a year ago that they had come to terms with major record labels over the use of tracks over videos. I guess they just didn't detail what those terms were...

    There's just 4 (5) that I'm using.

    Arcane Barrage
    Cone of Cold
    Arcane Explosion
    Fire Blast

Then at 63 I was also using
    PoM-Fireball
    and at 64
    PoM-ArcaneBlast

Being Arcane speced, Presence of Mind has only a 1.4 minute cooldown.
And I also have Arcane Power (+20% dmg for +20% mana cost) tied into my Arcane Barrage macro. That's also on 1.4 min cooldown.

Seconded. The paratrooper, aerial barrage was very cool.

The 20sec intro uses the intro to Miracle by Paramore.

The main and credits music are different sections of the same song -- Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) by E Nomine

Wow. Awesome. I've only recently been getting into PvP with my 5 shamans, but this is making me want to level my 4th mage that I ditched at 70 and go back to priest+ 4 mages... I bet a Disc Priest would make an awesome addition, spam holy nova along with your Arcane explosions ftw!

The slowfall aerial assaults were my favorite part. I bet that could make a loss into a victory in AB... You could go from lumber mill, down to the smith, then down to the mine very quickly, leaving a trail of dead bodies in your wake... I cant wait to see you at 80 pwning even more!

    Well, you've insipred me!

I've been sort-of wanting a level 80 mage to knock those smug gits off their flying mounts when they're just out of range of my shammies anyway! Go PoM poly!

The way you play your mages is more dynamic than I remember mine being (which was mostly about standing still for ages casting spells and hoping nobody noticed me).

So I dusted off my two level 70 mages this morning, worked out a potential PvP build for them, and will level them in BGs at a relaxed pace, starting this weekend

He definitely is a strong and very mobile boxer, the main mage (at least in the video, not idea if your picture swapping) is definitely the wily in your face pvp mage versus the guy that is off to the side nuking. Definitely not the lame poly -> multi pyroblast.

With that sort of movement, the high speed isboxer setup with swapping seems like a very fluid thing. Especially if you hone blink skills.

I was pretty surprised to see blinks used, that's something that always majorly messes up when I try it. Though perhaps removal of snares now its something i should check out.
