    Default Prot Warrior /click?

Anyone got something for this? I used the search function and read most of the click threads, but I didnt find anything. Would appreciate some help!

Well Im not even sure what a prot warrior rotation would look like as Im pretty new to the class.

I looked at doing a /click, then I realized a couple castsequences would work just fine.

I don't have access to the maco at the moment, something like:
/castsequence Shield Slam, Devastate, Rend, Devastate, Devastate (simple but no rage starvation normally, adjust as needed)

I also have a macro for /Castsequence reset=3 Revenge, Heroic Strike (I am glyphed for a free HS after Revenge)

I manually apply Thunderclap, Shield Bash, Demoshout and Shockwave as needed.

I seem to hold single target agro just fine with this setup. Packs can be a bit tricky I give the tank some more time to build up hate and switch targets to make sure sunders get up on multiple mobs.

Went to EJ forums and they arent helping much. Unlike the paladin forums they dont even have a thread dedicated to newb prot warriors that describs what sequence or priority you will use in tanking.

Offive: is there a reason you dont weave Thunderclap into your castsequence? Seems like it would be good "auto" AoE target threat.

I have 2 I use one for shield block and bash because of the gylph and then a revenge and HS macro. I was going to make a AoE one with thunderclap/shockwave and then cleaves but just haven't gotten around to it. Will post them when maint is over.

TC lasts long enough that it would require a /click to get timing right. I dump rage with more TC and cleave if I have loads to spare. My warrior runs mostly with my single target dps team, when I run him with my shammys it can be an issue if I CL too much to fast. I find that keeping the spam button simple keeps me from unloading too much rage.

I remember having rage issues in the past with high avoidance, not getting hit = no rage in the old days. I think they tweaked this a bit.. but honestly my pally tank is so ez-mode I find the warrior to be a bit fusy so I don't run him as much.

As with anything, personal taste / playstyle and encounters means you get to play with it any way you want. There is no set rule on how you do it, my methods are just starting points. By all means if you really want to tweak out a prot warrior macro go for it! But post it after you do.

Hmm Im thinking of switching out the warrior for Druid tank(already 80) and then making group mage/mage/lock/priest

Or could be mage/shaman/lock/priest Or even Mage/Lock/Lock/Priest

Warrior seems too much micromanagement to be good for MBing.

So its no good to weave in more TCs or do you mean the cooldown prevents you from using it a lot?

edit: has 6 sec cooldown and with glyph it can be only 11 rage cost. I wonder how bad it would gimp single target dps if you weave it in more?
editx2: if its affected by Focused Rage then its only 8rage to cast. Hmmm.

editX3: Question for the /click gurus: What Im thinking is switching to two key dpsing spam. key#1 is dps/tank single target, key#2 is dps single target, tank multiple targets. Now if I use Castsequences on tank and /clicks on slaves their dps should not be affected right? Since its calling the same buttons to be clicked(for dpsers).

Pretty much all of the warrior abilities are instant cast, costing 1.5 seconds of GCD.
Your dps will likely be limited by the recast delays or durations, rather then the cast time of their spells.

With a click sequence, you're spamming... usually 2-5 times per second.
The castsequence will just move to each ability/spell along the way as the GCD allows.
The click sequence will work in conjunction just fine, as long as your click speed is consistent with the comma/delays.
