    Yes I'm using it.

I run two displays both @ 1920x1200. I currently use keyclone with one large 'main' and 4 smaller maximizer iwndows on the other monitor.

I get anywhere from 40-60fps in Dalaran on my main and my others are locked at 30fps each which they all sit at.

I can play Wintersgrasp with no graphics issues, I can ride all around Dalaran. Huge jump from my GTx280.

Hi Slats, If you dont mind my asking what are the general spec's on the rest of your computer? I am trying to find out how much of a jump that 5870 card is.

I am interested in doing something similiar and was considering the 5870, as an upgrade from my 4870x2.
For comparison I have a 4870x2 with a Q9550 CPU (2.86ghz Quad core Conroe) with 8gig of ram and am not really able to run 5 on the one box at 1920x1200 across 2 monitors.

That's really strange, I have exactly the same specs as you and am running an old GTX250 with no issues at all. I can run around Dal and WG and never break follow. I also have 2 24inch widescreens, I run my main at a 30fps max and the others on 20fps max background. The only difference is that my wow data folder is on an SSD, so maybe try that first before lobbing huge wodges of cash on a new card.

I'm running an identical setup to the one you described except with a 285 (also on 2x 1900x1200 displays). I have the CPU overlocked a bit at 3.7 but aside from that nothing special. I played with the 5870 for a week or so and really didn't notice much difference (maybe 5-10% in Dalaran only), leading me to believe that at this point the CPU is the limiting factor. If there is anything else you would like me to check out let me know, I shouldn't have trouble finding another 5870 to test with.

Huh? Not able to run 5? The CPU should be more than enough to handle WoW, and the videocard is faster than my 8800GTX. Are you using an SSD to host WoW? That might be the answer to performance problems for you.

For reference, I'm using an i7-965EE, 12GB ram, 8800GTX, and WoW on a cheap 32GB SSD.. and I have no issues running 5x WoW instances across 2x 1920x1200 24" displays. I do plan on upgrading to the 5870 2GB version when available and adding a 3rd Dell 2408 1920x1200 display.
    Ex-WoW 5-boxer.
    Currently playing:
    Akama [Empire of Orlando]
    Zandantilus - 85 Shaman, Teebow - 85 Paladin, Kodex - 85 Rogue.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.

Are you running all your wow clients at 1920*1200 or just one and the rest at 800*600? But yes, you understood me correctly - when running 5 WoW clients at 1920*1200 (1 maximized on primary monitor, rest downsized on secondary), I'm barely getting 10fps in dalaran - and I just tried reinstalling Win7 and doing the powerplan-fix to no avail :|

Benchmark results are like theyre supposed to be, so I'm very puzzled! Any ideas?

Could you elaborate on your setup please? I have a similar system (i7 920 @ 4 GHz, radeon 5870, 12 gigs and a 2nd gen intel SSD) and my system is crawling in dalaran. Choppy as hell and my graphic settings are set pretty low. What settings do you have? And what CPU affinity?
