Default Macro 3 spells or more

hello, i'm currently using 2 computers. 4 instances of eq on 1 computer and 2 on the other (6 instances total).

i'm using hotkeynet to send commands to each instance. basically the whole keyboard is linked except for the movement keys and few others.

0-9 - = are the keys i use the most. On each instance (account) i have Macro's for those key ranges. Now that my team is at lvl 70 it's time to re-assess the macro setup as spells have changed and mobs require some different strategy/spell line ups.

currently each macro has either 2 commands, 2 spells or 1 spell and 1 command.

My question is this: is it possible to have 3 spells or more go off one macro. I can only get two items to process in order on each macro. There must be a line i can put in on the macro to make more than 2 items go off in order.

can anyone help me with this? thanks.

As far as I know, there is no way to fire off more than 2 spells in order, provided they are all active. It's simply a limitation/restriction of the macro engine.

There's a ton of info on this site and wiki discussing how people set their keys up. I personally load 2 spells per macro. Others will have 3 macros, all loaded with similar spells. From all my reading, I've never seen anyone provide a work around for this issue.

Assuming you mean EQ2, yes, you can put more than 2 spells/commands in a macro. They do fire off in order as long as you understand how the macro system works. It is a priority cast system, not a castsequence.

Except in EQ2's macro system, you do not get to create your own timing....consider the commas built in, and there is no reset option. Cooldown dictates all, you work around the cooldown and with the understanding of priority casting and you can create viable macros of just about any length.

Taking this a step further, put your toon in front of a Combat Dummy and target the dummy. Open your Knowledge Boot. Right click on a hotbutton on the hotbar and choose "Create Macro" (or Edit Macro, if it's already a macro). Drop in some spells/combat_arts. Within the Macro window, click on the Test button a bunch of times and watch the order in which the spells are fired off. Adjust location, click test some more.

Now you should fully understand the insanity that is building a Macro in EQ2 . Enjoy!

thats a nice Macro guide you created Khatovar (from the link). That should be a sticky so everyone can easily find it and read it.

    thanks for the great info.
