3 vs Naxx 25

So on Magtheridon Horde, our guild leader, Stealthy, lives in Australia. So coordinating raids with his schedule and some of ours in America is a bit tough (especiallly with wives and my RL committments on most weekend nights). So we've been doing some raiding on Saturday mornings (server time). Thing is, we usually only have 2-4 show up for raids, so have just been doing 10-man raids.

However, last Saturday we decided to try Naxx 25 even though it was only Zaelea, Stealthy, and me.

I 10-box, Stealthy 5-boxes, and Zaelea 6-boxes, so we only had 21 toons between the three of us.

We one-shotted Anub and Faerlina. The trash was cake. Our first wipe was on Maexna, though we almost got her the first time.

At that point TZ (Zxxyxx I think on these boards) logged in and asked what was up. We quickly added in his 5 toons, I dropped one of mine, and we downed Maex, Instructor, and Gothik. We had the infamous disconnect problem at the start of Four Horse four times in a row (with most of Stealty and TZ's toons d/cing about 3 seconds into each fight), so moved on to Patch and downed him. By this time it was 5 AM for Stealthy so we figured we should be merciful and let him log. We actually got some nice upgrades along the way.

Anyway, just thought it was cool to be able to cruise through content that was meant for 25 individual people with only three of us (then four of us) playing. We'll see what we can do next week.

Yeah was an absolute blast. I'll definitely be back for more - wish more of the Mag crew was on nightly, I'm sure there is plenty of 10 man content we could get on farm. VOA 10 for example.

Nice, Mercurio have you got Koralon down yet? I cant imagine 5boxing him let alone 10!

Kolaron? No. I tried him one time - got him down to 75% or so, lol.

The other two are on farm, but not that guy - I was just amazed at how many fireballs he put down in the course of a few seconds. The only way I could keep up was to move all my guys forward at once, but the DPS and heals stopping everytime he threw down a ball of flame made it slow. I ended up being a bit behind on the fireballs while trying to move my tanks around too - got messy fast.

It's not quite that bad. The fireballs are AOE, but I had my 10 toons well spread out so they were only hitting one at a time... well... one per fireball. But they sit on the floor and burn the crap out of you. Problem was, he seemed to throw out about 4 within about a 5 second interval - way, way more than I expected. He would wait for a good six seconds or so between bursts of fireballs through, so I could get off a few spells (like AOE heals) and enough DPS to get him down 25% or so before all my toons fell down.

Could be doable (maybe) if you were really, really quick and good at individual toon movement, but you have to be moving your two tanks most of the time too. Too much for me.
