im picking up my trial accounts on Thursday and I was wondering how viable 5 hunters would be. I'm really looking to see some hunter specific screen shots/ movies that highlight this? I'm going to go with 1 marks hunter and 4 bm hunters.

Maybe 4 Hunters 1 tank? Druid possibly? Or even 3 Hunters 1 Tank 1 Healer.
I am a firm believer in having at least one rezzer. Nothing slows down progress more than running back one toon.Originally Posted by TMNT
Having a rezzer is a definite need in a group (for me anyways).Originally Posted by Fizzler
Another is a wipe prevention/fixer.
Like a shaman's Reincarnation, a Paladin's Divine Intervention on a rezzer, or a Warlock's soul stone on a rezzer.

Would defently go Druid tank and 4 hunters then. Just have to figure out the range
I'd even go Prot Paladin Tank, 3 hunters, and a resto shaman or holy priest/paladin... druid would be a possibility as well.
I agree with this, while druids can make excellent healers their 20min rez is a bit painful of a cooldown to rely on (even though it works in combat). A resto shaman would make for an excellent choice for their survivability (mail armor+shield allows more hits to be taken while in "caster" form unlike a druid or priest) and the wipe prevention of reincarnation and their party rez free of cooldowns and you still have the DI + LoH from paladin and DPS from hunters (BM spec would be worth looking at for this setup even with the tank). The shaman will also give you totems which can be incredible buffs to a 3x type party (3 hunters with grace of air.. yummy) And you can even spec one hunter into marks/SV to give the rest TSA. The catch 22 is you dont get power word fort or shield which are quite powerful tools to be had.Originally Posted by Toned

I would like to chime in as I play a tank/healer/3x hunter team.
I originally played a war/pal/3x hunter build, but am leveling up a second paladin right now to replace the warrior. Let me give you some pro's and con's so far from the hunters -
Due to server latency, it is not generally feasible to try and have pets offtank more than one mob. I tried several times to use macros that would have each hunter assign their pet on specific mobs using my warrior to do the targeting, and it proved to be more hassle than it was worth. I imagine I would have a similar issue with trying to cc mobs by shooting/trapping them.
None-the-less, I have had no problems at all simply pulling with the war and focus firing mobs down one by one. Through lvl 43, I just do a serpent sting/arcane shot and let auto shot and pets take care of it from there. Blessing of Wisdom keeps the mana up without a problem. I am switching to a prot pally instead of the war as I have had problems holding agro when casters are involved and mobs don't clump close enough to get hit by thunder stomp. I want the ranged taunt and second res that the prot pally would bring, and I have had no problem at all tanking bosses, which is where I see the war shining over the pally.
PVP - I haven't managed to get my cast sequences working yet, but once I can get that and cycle traps, intimidation, and such, then I think I will do much better. With no way of easily breaking fear (like tremor totems or WoTF) I have suffered in bg's to people who use fear. Other than that, I've had a fair amount of success.
I do plan on doing arena's once I get to 70, and will give feedback once I get there. I hope that between BM pets and focus fire, I can gib one or two opponents immediately, and survive their counterattack with dual paladin healing. We'll see how it works, I fear the fear though.
Let me know if you have any specific questions about how the hunters are working out.
Hunters -r- fun, i did 3 hunters a priest and a pally tank up to 30 (sorry to say i like the shammys better, dead zone ftl). At least up to that level the pets can tank (mt/ot) very good and you have a fast kill crew in instances. Annoying but not that bad are the pets (feeding) and arrows, but they hit pretty hard! Bm specced was most fun, havent tried the mm ones.
Must say i couldnt do without a resser, you might try and go for engineering, but then again those trinkets arent what they used to be.
see them in action: www.stage6.com/user/tomzor2
edit: ah typed a bit too long i see, fellow hunter above me typing with more experience it seems.
hunters dont have a deadzone anymore as of like 2.3.1 I <3 BlizzardOriginally Posted by Los
