    Default Help with Character Allignment

    Hi Guys,

Firstly, I only learnt about Dual-Boxing today. But decided to try it out, tri-box 1 pc.

Secondly I apologise if this was explained in a guide (I didn't see it though)

    I have a q6600 and 8800gtx ultra, so I believe I can handle 3 fine.

Also, if you noticed the below yellow latency, it is only because honor is updating atm. I normally stick at 200ms.

Find attached a video of what is happening.

I understand most of what has been written.

I just don't get why I can't allign my characters so they run straight as 'one'.

Could one of you experienced players have a look and let me know if there is a macro to facenorth or something.

Thanks (waiting for youtube to update the vid I uploaded)

It's pretty much impossible to move as one, as even the slightest millimeter of difference in direction-facing will throw it out of whack; we ALL use autofollow, manually moving the main while the alts /follow

At first sorry for my bad english I'm from Austria but I try to explain

your move instructions of any single wow goes to the server and back to the other clients but you will see the movements of your character instant in this (and only this) wow
The other clients have to wait untill the instructions come back to the client

    client -> server -> client

For example if you jump at the 1st client then you see the jump about 300ms later on the other clients

It is possible to move your chars almost synchron at a short distance but not for long

Hate to dissapoint but internet latency is your problem, and it's not fixable. I imagine on a local copy of WoW on a local server (ahem, note: against all sorts of EULA, ToS, and I'm sure laws), it might be slightly closer to "synched" movement but I don't think on regular WoW you'll ever get what you seek. =(

This is also why, in BGs, you can see yourself run up to a flag, start capping it, then see another groupmate rush up, start capping, and HE gets the cap. It's because your client was latent and didn't "draw" him getting there first. The SERVER says HE got there first, you just didn't see it until it was too late.

Also, this is the reason why I ever lost any fight in a BG. ;P Heh, there's even a guild on my server called "If I Lost it was Lag"

Oh, I don't think I explained myself right.

I don't expect to see them run as one.

I meant to say that they don't run in line.

In the video you can see they sort of run off in all directions.

Where as I see in Xzin's and others videos that they generally all follow perfectly.

you must have them follow one char and use your mouse to move around... or atleast that is what ive been doing so far.

I read another thread and they suggested unbind the movement keys on the other chars.

Then set a macro to /follow.

    Regarding the follow macro.

    has anyone got one?

And where do I bind it to?

Ahh, at the very end I saw what you mean. I had this problem too. =) It's a case of having KeyClone or AHK do the movements for you. It gets VERY buggy because facing is not always exactly the same. It's much easier to have each clone /follow as badez said, and remove all movement keys from being synchronized.
