the gear isn't really a problem, annoying, easily replaceable with a few still crappy, but level appropriate quest rewards. The problem is that it appears he's either AFKing, or Botting, and boxing, which does nothing but draw negative attention towards boxing.

Checking his achievements, and it definately looks like botting. Only completed 26 quests..... has hardly explored anything, maybe using a teleport hack? only done a few dungeons, highest level clear was BRD. My guess is he might have played the first 30-40 levels, at least in part, then bot grinded, maybe in dungeons? and when BG exp came out, botted/afk'ed in there.

I know it's wrong, and I would never do it, but I can see SOME appeal to botting, I mean getting to 80 is a lot of hours put in, but whats the point in doing it the ENTIRE way? If he ever gets to 80, and i doube he will given this much attention he's gotten lately, he will have zero gear, zero rep, and zero knowledge of how to play a shaman, let alone box shamans. Well i take that back, all the honor he's afk farmed will likely buy him a full set of deadly gear.... I do hope he gets banned for this. I'd bet that the first rule of botting is to not bot too much, because if a player notices, it wont be too long before GMs notice.

I hope he doesn't just make new accts and start over again...

Noone should defend anyone who afk's in a bg, its just not right to burdon 11, 36, or 6 other players with your lazyness. Being undergeared is one thing, but simply refusing to play is really low-down. If you really don't enjoy boxing that much in PvP DONT BOX IN PVP. I've heard the arguement made before to say, "well I cant kill anyone anyways and I just get aoe'd down so I'm just going to afk in AV all day". Thats a terrible arguement, gear wont fix your problems, if you cannot stand pvp so much as you have to AFK in a bg to get gear, you should not be PvP'n because your just making all of us as boxers look bad. I'm sick and tired of being called an AFK bot or 4 wasted spots as soon as I enter a Bg because of people like this. Don't get me wrong I normally prove these claims wrong pretty quickly but to have everyone who see's my team immediately trying to assume I'm doing this kind of activity its quiet frustrating.

If he gets reported as AFK, does he still get XP?

I guess it is also possible he leveled to somewhere around 40 or so then did RAF gift levels. But then again he should have way more quests done. If someone pressured me to vote I would vote he is possibly botting.

it looks like he/she may have done the quests to get to lvl 10 then bg farmed from there. you can easily get to level 10 with questing and not discover your starting area. i dont know why you would ever bg bot. it seems so noticeable and when ive been trying the bg leveling technique (non-botting of course) at lower levels seems very time/xp inefficient. getting 5-10% of a level every 20-30 minutes is kinda a waste. but surely afking in a bg is inexcusable. they could at least write the bots to kill some dudes

haha! your nick fits right into this subject. but if he/she did level from bgs (which would be incredibly slow at low brackets) there would be some better gear from honor points.

Since he is exalted with AV rep he had to have started before level 70. Maybe he just boosted/level granted to 60 then leveled in AV only. Gear doesn't matter all that much pre 80 and I have read a ton of people say how they only quest to 71 then AV to 80 wearing only 60s gear. Even if he leveled from 51 in AV he could just be buying 80 pvp gear.

As for just sitting afk in a BG, that's a separate question. I have read that before the recent afk changes that when you get the debuff you still get the xp but not the honor.

I hit exalted with AV around 76, it doesnt take long if you do all the quests. Although in this case he doesnt do ANY quests, so ya....

By looking at his exploration he has been to tauren noob areas, SFK, BFD, Razorfen Kraul, Sunken Temple, ZF, Scholo, and hellfire instances. That sounds like plenty to boost to at least the upper 60s with summons. I doubt theres any botting going on. OP probably just got pissed for some reason or another. Sounds like nerd rage to me.
