Default 5 mb, shammies, no RAF

    Hi,

i don't know if it gets any more interesting but all my shammies are lvl12 now. It took me 2 days to get to 12, mostly because of setting ui properly and what not.

i have to say it i love the all-around experience, the only problem being i don't have RAF since i live in non-raf-supported country in Europe (shame on blizz, really).

anyways.. i ran into Ogrimmar's Ragefire Chasm yesterday, just to find out i'm stuck at 3rd mob being Earth Elemental which i, of course cannot kill. I almost started crying, really -.-.

That was kinda dissapointing in a way. So now i'm back at leveling with quest. Now here's a question:

    * should i continue my shammy group and start farming WC / SFK OR
    * should i rather create a pally (tank) & druid (boomkin later) then form a group as tankadin, doomkin, 2 ele shamans & resto shaman?

    Well... thanks for your answers

More important: What do YOU like to play?
Another: What would you like to do as endgame? PvP? PvE?

You could try WC, but personally I would quest at least until 60, and then combine AV with questing to make it more bearable.

    Hi Menthu,

    1. I like playing all possibleclasses?
    2. As endgame i intend to play more PvE than PvP

5-box shaman is good fun yes…If PvE however is in your future you will become very frustrated at the lack of survivability of the team. Without a dedicated tank you simply cannot progress beyond instance’s that your team out gear’s; hence you cannot advance since you need the instance to gear in the first place. A 5-box shaman team could do most if not all the normal instance; heroic however would be another story. Since your team is very young I would suggest you add <insert your favorite tank class here> .

8/19/09 Level 62 – Pally (Tank); Priest (Shadow); Shaman (Resto); Mage (Frost); Druid (Balance)
8/29/09 Level 68 – Pally (Tank); Priest (Shadow); Shaman (Resto); DK (Blood); Druid (Balance)
9/5/09 Level 72 – Pally (Tank); Priest (Shadow); Shaman (Resto); DK (Blood); Druid (Balance)
9/19/09 Level 80 – Pally (Tank); Priest (Shadow); Shaman (Resto); Hunter (BM)); Druid (Balance)

Agreed - Roll a Pally or Warrior before you get too far along. I went with a warrior because I already had one.

If I were to start all over again I'd go with a multi-class team led by a pally.
Resto Shaman + 4 DK's, work in progress...

Roll a tank and boost another shammy up later, believe me its going to make a huge difference down the road

    thank you for your help.

another advice about the boomkin- is boomking simply good because of +5crit & gotw/motw and SHOULD be replaced by 3rd dps?

    thank you

The entire is < insert class/spec here > better then X, Y, or Z really comes down to a personal preference. Shaman / Pally team is tried and true multi-box award winner. The synergy, simplicity and functionality of the shaman with all the different combinations of totems with a single click make them far and away the best choice.

I took the more non-traditional route; vain attempts to capture a wide variety of complimenting buffs/de-buffs and tried to make every armor drop count as best I could. Is X choice better then Y choice? Why not try Z …or better yet a mixture ….

Its your team….play what YOU like….go with what feels good and something that you can sit and watch for hours on end.

I already had a tank when i rolled my 5 shamans, and now am running a 5 class team for heroics, but I still love my 5 shaman for pvp. I would start easy with 1 pally and 4 shamans. You can do everything with that comp. If you want 5 shamans for pvp, boost one up later. If you want to add a boomkin, you can boost that one with shaman #5 together. The Boomkin adds another armor class so you dont have all your toons wanting the same gear, you can battlerez, you get a good all around group buff, thorns can help tank get threat.
