    Default Isboxer+keyclone, 2 machines, 3 lotro.

Hey, I have been 2 boxing lotro for a while using multiplicity and keyclone. I am now wanting to get into 3 boxing. And since Lax has updated IS with isboxer I am going to give that a whirl. So my question is, about a guide I saw posted here which is for setting up isboxer for wow, can I follow that guide and the setup instructions work pretty much the same for lotro? I am very impressed with how things have been moving along with dual boxing, I have been out of the loop for a while since I stopped to play my one character in wow to 80, but now I want to 3 box lotro (my 3 lifetime accounts need lovin). So yes, what can you geniuses and experts tell me about this.

One other thing, If i use isboxer, how will that effect keyclone? Can I use them simultaneously? Should I? I imagine I can still do them the same and all, I do have 2 keyclone licenses, so I dont want them to go to waste while I use isboxer.

Thanks guys, you are all awesome here.

You can certainly use Keyclone alongside ISBoxer if you'd like to. Some people do that. You don't really need Keyclone if you use ISBoxer, though.

The difference in setting up ISBoxer for WoW versus LOTRO is that for WoW, ISBoxer can set up some basic universal broadcasting hotkeys, and have them do things like auto-follow, invite, assist, and so on. It can do that because the design of the game facilitates it, e.g. with the Addon system. LOTRO on the other hand doesn't provide the level of control that WoW does, and the design of the game client is kind of prohibitive -- it wants to be in the center of the screen, and ignores input if it's not in the foreground, among other things. These are a couple of the problems that ISBoxer solves through Inner Space.

Zanthor's guide (Zero to Hero) will help you with some basic concepts such as creating Mapped Keys. A lot of the other stuff is done by the Quick Setup Wizard, which came after he made the guide.

Someone made a video guide specifically demonstrating how to set up ISBoxer for LOTRO, so this might help:

Awesome, thanks Lax. I have used innerspace in the past for eq, but not wow, mostly becuase i heard blizzard will bann IS users, so I was a bit paranoid. I love both games though and currently play both, so I understand the differences and level of control each game allows its users. I prefer WOw's but can tollerate Tubrines restrictiveness with their games, because quite frankly, lotro is a pretty darn great game.

Thanks for the links I am sure they will help me get things going tonight, the maint hing is I want my healer and tank on the main system and my extra(s) on the other computer, does innerspace/isboxer provide network support? I will be reading the wiki's and setup guuides this weekend to see what all your powerful tools will allow me to do. I will likely post here if i run into any snags though.

    Thats for the encouraging response.

Just a quick update. This is cool, I got it configured with basic single system settings for the 2 on the main system, per the video instructions. Next step is to configure keys, unless, I use keyclone which I believe I can add all 3 game windows, will that work? If i use keyclone to pass the keypresses through to the windows, and have isboxer configured to say minstral and guard as focused windows will it still pass through, or should I use isboxers keymapper to make my keys work. Eh i will have to paly with it to see what works. =)

Now to read the other posts sso to figure out the network bit. So far, Lax I can see you put a lot of hard work in getting this up, it is pretty darn awesome.

Edit: While reading some more on the links you posted Lax, I have come to the conclusion that I don't need to use IS to run my 3rd account on the other computer. Would this be problematic? I see there is the repeater feature in isboxer, but haven't gotten into any of the network configuration settings so I don't know how I would make isboxer run between both computers. So here is my guess, theory, what have you. I enable Isboxer on machine 1 for Tank+healer. Set the keys for following and what not using the keymapper.

Then just use keyclone in place of repeater to mimic keypresses on all 3 characters. If I understand this correctly, it acts just like repeater, am I wrong? Will this way of doing things work? So far, from what I have read and understand I can do just about everything I want with Isboxer, including everything keyclone does. Using keyclone would remove the need for repeater, and possibly the need for keymapping in isboxer.
