DK's and RAF grant a level question

So, 2 of my 3 accounts are RAF linked until the end of the month.

Does anybody know how grant-a-level works from a death knight? IE I've created a death knight on my recruit account, can he automatically grant (55 / 2 = 27) 27 levels to a lower level toon on my veteran account? Or can he only grant (60 - 5 = 5 / 2 = 2) two levels to the veteran account once he dings 60.

Just curious...I'm not planning on actually playing the DK just yet, I am preparing a new three-DK team and since my main/original account is not linked to anything I don't want the two other DK's to jet ahead to 60 three times faster. I currently have a L43 druid on the veteran account (all grant-a-level'ed from L1, has about 3 minutes /played lol) that I'd like to grant-a-level up to 60 on him.

No he cannot only grant levels he has earned. So you can level him to 60 and grant 2 levels for the 5 that he earned.

Edit: you can have your linked dk's get to 61 faster.. and then just take your lead DK when he turns 58 to zones like silithus/winterspring to level him to 60/61 to catch up.
