There's a black box now? All I got was this silly orange box.

    Although Portal was fun.

Games I need to beat but will never get around to:
    L4D, Starcraft, WC3/TFT/Lost Planet/Far Cry/Assassin's Creed

Portal was great fun, but a tad too short for my taste, took a couple hours to complete
Starcraft single player is epic, I used to play that semi proffesional where I won a few tourneyments and such when it first came out... Good times for sure, I still follow the Korean pro sceen via sc2gg.com, wish I could play like the real pros. Highly anticipating the arrival of SC2

It was called The Black Box because it was free with my ATI Video Card purchase. I didn't download Portal maybe I should get it.

I picked up Fall Out 3 at best buy today but then put it back down. Is the game a puzzle solving FPS? Do you have to follow a linear flow and figure how to get around doors and walls like other puzzle solving FPS?

It's a RPG FPS, the main quest line is linear, but theres tons of other quests in the game that will keep you busy, or you can skip straight to the main quest line if you want.

Looks like a good end of the year for new games. There's several games coming out in Oct / Nov. I'm interested in.

Dragon Age - 11/4 (epic fantasy rpg)
Alpha Protocol - 10/27 (Spy RPG)
    Borderlands - 10/26 - (FPS / Action RPG)
Risen - 10/2 (single player fantasy rpg)
    Assassin's Creed 2 - 11/17 (3rd person action)
Divinity 2 - (single player fantasy rpg)
    Torchlight - 10/20 (action rpg)

Now to decide on which ones to buy.

If you need something now, and you haven't already played it, I would suggest downloading the original Fallout from gametap for a few bucks. If you can wait, Dragone Age Origins comes out in a few weeks and looks to be an interesting game from a party dynamic stand point.
