Guild Wars - Assistance Needed
I recently undertook the task of dual-boxing two of my Guild Wars accounts, I have encountered numerous problems so far, most of which I have overcome - yet there's several issues that I can't seem to get around.
Please bare in mind I am a new dual-boxer. I am using Keyclone.
Problem: Targeting Mechanics and Character Unison
The way Guild Wars works in regards to a mob encounter is that when you target a foe, pressing the space bar, or using a spell moves your character (and heroes/henchmen) within spell/ability range without the player actually needing to move manually - this can make multi-boxing somewhat easier if it wasn't for the fact that since both of your characters are not literally inside of each other, the angle of approach will always differ, thus offsetting the two characters resulting in complete loss of movement unison, coupled with the fact that GW doesn't seem to emulate the keyboard action timings very well when it comes to moving manually, this is extremely frustrating.
I did say multi-boxing would be somewhat easier using the aforementioned mechanic, and it can. Basically the principle I am following is instead of moving manually for the majority of my gametime, for example, between mobs - I could get both of my characters to target the same foe from a large distance (which is possible) and do the majority of travel that way, granted, the angle of approach will still vary, but cutting the tedious 'Oh shit, this chars running forward, but the other has other ideas' when using movement keys, then having to pause Keyclone, switch windows and manually move the other char around which completely defeats the object of dual boxing.
So now, what is effectively the problem with the solution is that when I hit tab to target an enemy, it targets the closest foe to your character, obviously different foes will be closer to each character, so they end up targetting different ones for the most part, which means they split up to attack different foes, which is fairly useless to say the least, especially running a spike build.
I'm not sure about how to fix this, one way could be to set Keyclone up so that I can disable tab being passed on to the second client, select a foe on the first client using tab then press LCTRL + Space (which is the combo used to call out the name of the foe so the heroes/party members can target it) the second client hits T (which is the key to automatically lock on to that foe) followed by LCTRL + Space (to lock the heroes onto the target).
I have absolutely no idea how I would go about setting the above up using Keyclone, I thought possibly Keymap might be what i'm looking for, but it doesn't seem to save any of my Key > Hotstrings after I add them (assuming that's what it's for). Anyone know a way using Keyclone?
Failing that, could someone point me in the right direction to another program, or any kind of script.
Cheers guys, hope I explained it clear enough.
