Different UI?
Hello, I want to use difference UI's on my accounts, I use 10 accounts, i want 9 of them to have the normal, no addons and such. and the main one to have DPS meter, xPearl or w/e, and such, So? How can i make 2 add0ns places and put one of the accs on it, or any other way?
What I have done with my 5 accounts is to have 5 different directories, so that each of the 5 instances launch form a separate directory.
This enables me to have a unique UI setup for each of my 5 WOW instances.
Valerion - Protection Paladin - 80
Kawachi - Elemental Shaman - 80
Kahachi - Elemental Shaman - 80
Kazachi - Elemental Shaman - 80
Kamachi - Elemental Shaman - 80
How do you do it?
Do a search on Symlink on this site.
After having installed wow once I just copied the entire directory 5 times, so now I have 5 directories called:
World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft2
World of Warcraft3
World of Warcraft4
World of Warcraft5
...each containing it's own executable and WTF folder .
Consequently when you run for example the exe from directory 2, you can setup a unique UI for that particular instance.

I would probably not do it this way. Symlink will use much less space and accomplish the same end goals. I would copy only over the WTF folder, and the exe and symlink nearly everything else. The only problem with Symlinking is when the game is patched that can cause a few issues for sureOriginally Posted by Raigirin
I agree with you, much less space is taken up for sure.
I must admit, that I have been looking for a more elegant way of solving my multi vs solo setup problems and I'll give Symlink a closer look.

Lets say i copy my wow floders 2 times, so i have 2 wows. do i have to change the section of keyclone so one will be on the world of warcraft1 and the other wow.exe on the world of warcraft2 wow.exe
I am not familiar with Keyclone I am afraid as I am using Autohotkey.

yes change the command exe in keyclone to the second directory for the second client. If you are only doing 2 instances than try just copying over the whole directory like mentioned above and see how it performs.
