Default just found the site so introducing myself

Hello, i have been dual-boxing for a while now on several games in the past ... but i have always done it manually =(headache) ... today while bored at work i started searching around and found this forum .. yay! ...

the main game i play right now is WoW ... currently only have 1 lvl 80 .. but several chars in the 60's ... fixing to do the RaF for yet another account and use the info from this site to level up some chars together ... with the hopes of grouping one of them with my 80 hunter eventually ...

only reason i won't be trying 5box .. is my wife plays the game as well .. so she would be grouping her hunter with me from time to time ...

well back to reading and such ...

didn't see an intro forum so posted this here, if i overlooked the right place i appologize.

    Welcome to the site.

Why don't you 4-box when your wife is playing with you? Then when she's not playing you'll have your 5-box group. You could have 2 different teams for when she plays.

If my wife would play that's what I would do

i may do that eventually ... esp after getting accustomed to having the actions a bit more under control with macros and such (right now i have always alt+tab between windows and click on what i want to cast)

and 5 accounts, may have to tweak my computer a little bit more to handle it ... maybe not but would have to double check ...

either way, i would greatly enjoy running a full group on my own hah! .. makes PuG'in a lot easier.

Well, guys, I knew the devil would catch up to us someday here at db.com hahaah.

Heres a suggestion: Take whatever class your wife plays and use it as your 5th char. That way you can seamlessly switch your char / her char in and out (youd have to account for this in macros and such but might make things a bit easier).

    Just throwing it out there.

    haha! ...

she plays a hunter so that wouldn't be much of an issue ...

when i get home this evening going to start leveling up a pair of chars ... Pally and Shaman ...(pally on second account, shaman on same account as my 80 hunter) to get the pally up to my hunter's range ... till i get the hang of the macro's and such .. that way when she groups up it would be a second DPS with what i have going (and use the pally for my lead character) ... and later on i will see about leveling up 2 more hunters to go with it ...

Welcome, and good luck with the transition from alt-tab boxing to real boxing - once you're set up, even with the most simple follow + assist method, the difference will amaze you.

I run a few 5 man teams, and my wife slots in with her tank from time-to-time. It's really dead easy that way, so if you could persuade your wife to start a tank and level with you running a 4 man healer + DPS team, that'd be a real bonus when it comes to L80 heroics

my wife has a fighter at 60 so that is a possibility once i get the other chars up into that range ... have tried talking her into playing more then one .. but she is a very casual player hah! ... to her a daily quest is something you do every other week or so ...

yeah, the basic follow + assist is what i am going to be doing for now ... to get the hang of it .. with the pally being my lead and the shaman on a chain behind me ... afterwards will lead with pally and have my hunter as dps ... and eventually add other hunters into it as well.

well got the basics of it down ... all i can say is wow it is a lot easier so far using macro's and such ... been playing around with two warlocks and having a blast ... going to try out some of the addOns that are for mutiboxing to make some things easier ... (Picked up KeyClone already to use for the keystrokes, though first few times someone tried talking to me it was interesting to say the least with one char hopping around while i was typing ) and work on macro's a bit more ... but i can see a good future for me with this lol!
