I hate that attitude too.

Pre levelling in BG's it was still rife. 2 minutes in and folks are calling that it's a lose and let the alliance win.

How can you ever become a good pvper if all you do is cave in at the first sign of pressure.

I know that all they want to do is get the honour for the latest gear - but if all you do with it is run into an AV and cry, moan and give in then really what's the point?

If i can stop the enemy downing Drek'thar that's a small victory.
If i can grab sp graveyard when they have us blocked on the hill leading towards the alliance base that's a small victory.
If i can help break the defense on the bridge at Dun Baladar that's a small victory.

And those victories where you have turned things around are the sweetest of all.

Heck - I've even been in an AV where alliance were way ahead, and we managed to take out vanndar by keeping him in combat while everyone resses and gets back in.

Let me start by saying, I'm not bragging, I got really lucky and had an awesome pally healing me.

So game starts like normal, Galv down, I head to RH. Like normal, someone caps FW before we even click RH. Waves of Hordies spawn on top of us and eventually we go down. Then the QQ starts as the entire O is pushed back to DB. Somehow we manage to hold TP and IBT and push horde back to Stonehearth. Then the QQ and "lets hurry up and lose" starts.

Now I'm used to this. As soon as anything goes wrong someone decides it's easier to quit. This time we have a huge lead, I mean its 480 resources to something like 200. I fight in the road a bit and help recap a few things, but no one is going south.

I mount up, skirt by next to IW and down the road unscathed. To be honest, I think a few of the horde were afraid of me. Lots of lowbies got mowed down earlier and they were starting to try and avoid me. I stop real fast to kill a warrior on a pally and then mount back up and head south. As I'm passing FW I notice that the pally is following me, and they are also calling everyone idiots for accepting a turtle and not heading south. I like this person already.

We get down to RH and there is no resistance. Cap it and I start to head back to sit between the towers to fend off the horde that will be heading are way, but the pally is already got a rogue back at RH so I turn around and we keep RH. For the next 20 minutes, the pally and I hold RH and fight the horde that keep coming back to get RH. Think there were 3 rogues and one really persistent holy nova spamming priest that managed to perfectly scatter me with psychic scream every damn time.

So this is crazy chaotic. There are only the 6 (or two) of us for the first 4 minutes and it seems like its a constant struggle. I lose one or two DKs, but luckily we have the RH by then so I can just regroup. Finally Alliance starts showing up one by one and we get someone up in the towers to cap and actually defend them since I'm with the pally making sure we keep RH.

10 seconds before the East tower caps we have 200 resources and horde has 20. The pally who has been better than any PR agent could ever be types this:

they get so tired of shitty AV ers they do something about it

That was the best 31 minute AV I've ever been in. Moments like this are why I love AV; you can actually make a difference.

We were losing bad, and the crying started in BG chat. Hurry up and lose etc.
Stop harassing them in our base.

I was in the process of typing how I would fight to the end. When someone put out

"this is usually the point when some nerd says how they are going to fight till the death".

I had to chuckle - and I did cancel what I was typing

I was having a pretty good day leveling lowbies yesterday. pally tank, resto shaman, ele shaman from my main and I would run down. actually cap both east & west towers and as long as the other 35 players got IB or TP down I then tanked the Drek with one tower up. We didn't loose all day.
