Boxing Drek for AV Wins

Look for my DKs, been leveling them since last night. They are about to hit 76. All named Kaia with funny chars.

The main reason I was interested in this was I like challenges. The other upsides are being able to steal a win if we are gonna lose anyway. The 6 minute achievement would be nice gravy.

With the 5 DKs, I can hold almost any tower and recap most bunkers. This works until 2-3 80s come together and work together, but that only happens so often.

AV is such a great BG because there are so many strategic aspects that can change an entire match. My least favorite is when someone caps FW right as we are getting to RH and all the horde spawn on top of us. I never understood why capping FW was bad until I was on the receiving end.

I will defently look for your DK's. My guys are 74 1/2 so hopefully if i get some play time in this weekend and i can get them to 75 or 76. Yet being married sometimes really puts a clamp on my play time.

And oh yeah several 80's or even just one of them can wreck my toons pretty fast. I especially hate the warrior spin thing that just chops my guys up really quick. That and my guys are pretty weak on the gear side.

All in all i love the exp you get from AV but i serously think they should make a new bracket for level 80's only. I think it would make alot of people happy.

It's doable with 2 boxers, me and valk just tried with 2x 5 boxers and a couple pugs wiping at 6k hp with 4 wms up because someone pulled the wms onto us and we got lolcleaved.

Definately doable with 2 boxers, I didn't even have hero and was keeping stoat's tank up easy as.

I used 3 level 80s to level 2 from 71->77 so I'm kind of happy 80 is mixed as I feel I contribute that way - but otherwise I agree that splitting out the 80s would be nice - but maybe they won't and they'll just do 81-85 with the xpac

Sadly I think if they took 80s out then no one would do AV. All the other BGs are dead and they have 80 only brackets. For the 80s it's mixed bag; lowbies are easy HKs, but too many of them and your team is weak.

My guess is that rated BGs will fill the need for a competitive 80s bracket.

Also, I hate the "lose faster" XP leechs. I'm on my 77s and I'm working my butt off to cap and defend, but these people that worry about their XP per hour really get to me. At least AFK are quiet and reported.

I hate it when people give up and are just like "let them win." No way in hell I'm letting Horde do anything that benefits them without a fight.

I hate that attitude too.

Pre levelling in BG's it was still rife. 2 minutes in and folks are calling that it's a lose and let the alliance win.

How can you ever become a good pvper if all you do is cave in at the first sign of pressure.

I know that all they want to do is get the honour for the latest gear - but if all you do with it is run into an AV and cry, moan and give in then really what's the point?

If i can stop the enemy downing Drek'thar that's a small victory.
If i can grab sp graveyard when they have us blocked on the hill leading towards the alliance base that's a small victory.
If i can help break the defense on the bridge at Dun Baladar that's a small victory.

And those victories where you have turned things around are the sweetest of all.

Heck - I've even been in an AV where alliance were way ahead, and we managed to take out vanndar by keeping him in combat while everyone resses and gets back in.

I went and did the quest to get the AV trinket. So now I can teleport back all 5 DKs and defend if need be. Aside from being crazy xp at level 78, it's a little disturbing to have 5 DKs suddenly appear at the Aid Station flag. After that I chill with Vann and DG nubs that get in my line of sight so that they get rolfstomped by Vann and his crew. I've saved a few matches this way by wiping healers and tanks before they are ready so the guys down south can get Drek down.

Anyone know if the Death Grip glyph works in AV? Do all the HKs count toward resetting the cooldown?

Locks will be 71 by the weekend, dunno how AVs will go, around half the time it's only me and maybe 1-2 other dudes that make it all the way south and cap gy/towers before the rest catch up.

I hit 77 with my shammies today. I serously have done almost nothing but AV from 71 to 77. It was pretty awesome playing some Defense tonight and doing nothing but chain lightning on the bridge. So much fun.
