Aion Questions

Anyone know how many peeps from here play Aion? Will keyclone work to box it? I would like to give it a shot with the beta but would like to join a server where some forum friends play on. Any info would be appreciated.

I think i saw moorea multibox it, was hard to see with all the lag, you might want to drop by him and see how it went

I tried boxing it and it just not a good game to box honestly. Lag issues will be fixed but what annoyed me was that any kind of action will break follow and that sucks since keyclone doesn't work and I doubt other programs like keyclone will ever work thanks to Gameguard. Just not fun boxing it when u gotta press keys on a different keyboard every single time. I even tried opening 2 clients on one comp and I have dual monitors but again it was annoying clicking back and forth between the 2 clients.

I'm only lvl 14 atm but from what I've read and people talking in game it seems the game is very pvp focused and I just don't see how u can be efficient in pvp boxing this game with flight and stuff.

and yes now you have to box the old way, either mousing over between windows or using 2 pcs - but the macros make it very possible to have a pocket healer - which is what I'm using atm

Have any of you tried using Voice Commander for the support account?

Prior to KeyClone I used VC to dual-box in WoW. Worked perfectly.


I have tried Dual-Boxing in Aion. Adjust the delay to compensate for the lag issues.
I also found that although KeyClone did not work, I could use the Mouse Switch (?) funtion to tab between the windowed clients. this made things alot easier as it was just a quick double tap on the same key to set them in motion (whilst scrolling over to the other client)

I was playing around with Voice control the past couple of nights. I couldn't get it to work under Vista32 or XP (hook errors), but it works under Vista64 for some reason. I have 3 PCs I was trying to tri-box with.

For now, I have put the voice control aside.

Okay guys its been 5 days now in the OB for me and here is my decision. I will NOT be dual boxing Aion because:

Basically no software works sufficiently ex: Keyclone

No bonus xp for grouping therefore you will be Grinding like crazy and people are saying that even just to level one chars it take a average player 3-4 months

Game is quite pvp dependent and without a software like Keyclone there is no way I can pvp. Which means either I would have to skip pvp which means more grinding pve content, or to play one character at a time - again time consuming. Also skipping pvpve will be total waste of what Aion has to offer and this is kinda more the main reason I have given up on dual boxing.

Good luck with anyone who will be dual boxing it!

you can still dual box it just to get 2 toons to max level in maybe 1 1/2 the time it takes to get 1 - and then play each solo - or maybe by then someone will have found a way to get software to work - at least that;'s my plan - though I admit I have some second thoughts about collection quests and difficulty with some flying around,...

If they disable gameguard at release it will not be a problem to multi-box, i ran it disabled and was able to run multi-box/synergy to command my second pc.
