Staggering collection quests

So I hate to skip the collection quests, I know they are less efficient but I have a sickness.

Today I was thinking, why not just do the quests on one character, then the next collection quest you take/have, do it for the next character and so on and so forth.

The problem is probably keeping people synced up in exp, but I think provided you always leveled in similar level areas this would be less of a problem.

The second problem would probably be keeping track of who is doin what at any given time.

Am I crazy or could there be efficiency in just rotating collection quests?

I mass murder things normally, and loot only with main character. When my main finishes his collections, i loot with another character, and so on. I have all my windows on one monitor, so moving the mouse a tiny bit isn't much of a problem to change who's looting.

I nearly tore my hair out in Ungoro crater with my team today, I planned on only doing collection quests with the main, but ended up finishing them on 3 of the 4 chars. I developed a mentality of "oh well I have 3 of 8, might as well finish it".

My advice, don't be anal like me, do the collection quests on one char (unless the drops are 80%+ like Ungoro ash), and just spread them between chars. Unless you need the rep, it's simply a frustrating waste of time.
