    Default Need graphic help bad!

I just upgraded my PC with new ram CPU and graphic card but am getting worst FPS then I was with the old one. I have tried many macros I found on the WoW forums but no no avail><
I'm running 5 on 1 4 toons on on screen and main on second. I'm getting 18-25 FPS on the 4 slaves(I can live with that) but the main is only getting 7-10><. I the slaves on a HD together and the main on the HD with the OS((just haven't moved him yet wanted to see what one loaded faster.)this is only thing I see it being but why now) Only other difference in them is the main is set to 1650X1050 res while I don't even know what the slaves res is off the top of my head. I have not changed anything else in-game just the hardware upgrades.

    CPU AMD2 2.6g > 3.0g
    GPU Nvidia 8600GT > Nvidia 9800GTX
    Ram 2gb DDR2 800mhz > 4gb DDR2 800mhz

P.S. I just tried it with no add-ons other then SDtext or what ever to see FPS and that didn't change a thing either.
P.S.S Just that WoW client by its self is pulling 60FPS><

    Also I'm using Hotkeynet.

Running 5 clients at a time, you can't expect the same FPS as 1 client. Also, I would suggest more ram, 4gb is pretty low for 5 chars.

Well its only XP 32bit so to my understanding more ram wont matter. Also the thing is I was running better with the old hardware thats whats got me. It seems that the FPS drop happens when I bring a client to the full monitor. I just chanced a slave to the full monitor and it droped to 12-16 FPS but the Main chrs FPS didn't stablize like the others it was jumping from 10fps up to 30 while on the resized screen.

Try using an addon like tweakwow or leatrix gfx to turn the settings down lower than default. Also increase the texture cache especially if you go to dalaran a lot.

OK will try those. Another thing I just noticed is I got a second monitor and had little time to play with it befor the rest of the upgrades came but I thought my FPS where better then what they are now with the second monitor on the old GPU. I just tried changing my script to put all 5 Clients on one screen and they where all 30 FPS. Anyone have an idea what could be causing the low FPS with a dual screen setup?

Should my screens be setup for a horizontal span or the Duelview setup?

Well the horizontal span helped FPS a lot 40-60 on main and 30 on slaves just hate this set-up for all other PC functions><

How much RAM does your old video card have vs. your new?

Vista / XP or any other 32 bit OS can only address 4 gigs of TOTAL memory when it boots into the OS it will first addresses I/O devices with their own on board memory like video cards. That uses up some of the address space then when Windows boots it will address the rest of the 4 gigs.

The only 32 bit OS that can see all 4 gigs is 2003 server edition because it supports 36-bit PAE extensions.

XP and all versions of Vista in 32bit can only address 4 gigs TOTAL which includs the video card and all other I/O devices.

Ya in about 2 weeks I will be updating to a 64bit and also buying 4gb more of ram(MB will be maxed then). As far as the old GPU 256 and the new one is 512.

Did you try reinstalling your graphics drivers?

This probably made your performance go down. You took memory away from the rest of the system.

I'm still using a 8800GT and getting fairly similar results though. I had to limit my slaves to lowest possible settings and 15FPS - now may main gets much better FPS.

Hmm ok yeah I'm running fine on a horizontal span its just when I try and do the duel view(the one where the wallpaper aint stretched) that it suffers Horizontal I'm at like 45-58 FPS on main and slaves range from 30-50. That is with the main set to medium settings.
