    Default Config file gone!

I was messing around with my settings in ISBoxer when windows fired up an auto-update without asking me (have since disabled that). WheN I get bock, upon loading ISBoxer I got an XML error on the config file. Reloading it, I got a blank configuration.

Needless to say I have a ton of settings saved in there. InnerSpace still has some sort of config (I can still play my toons), but everything in ISBoxer is gone?

Anything I can do to recover it?

Oh man this is my nightmare and also why I have the config file saved in different locations. I just have to remember to back up my saves once in a while.

I can not recommend backing up enough. It takes almost no space and takes seconds. Sorry to hear this happened but hey now is a great time to try something new with your config! Hopefully LAX will have good news for you.

I don't even know what I was supposed to be backing up... I noticed a bunch of XMLs, which one do I need?

in IS's case. the whole folder... but generally look at the date of the files. If they are a recent date, those are the ones that change
RAF Tour Guide files are obsolete, I went to Zygor
    MultiBoxers play with themselves

yeah.. now it's all messed up. Now Innerspace launches all the windows on top of each other with what appears to be fresh config.wtf files, showing me the wotlk intro video and making me agree to the ToS again. I've relaunched several times with no luck, Guess I have to start over from scratch

If you get an error message when loading the XML, that means it could not be loaded, and you should get a screenshot of the error, and get it to me asap. If you let it overwrite your XML file, and you didn't have a backup, it's gone. I don't imagine you got any info on the error so there's nothing for me to go on to fix whatever it was

To back it up, for future reference, just use the Save As option from the File menu. This changes ISBoxer to use that file for autosaving, so you might want to switch back to ISBoxerToolkitProfile.XML afterward (by either using Open, or Save As). The file being edited is shown in the title bar (and on the "ISBoxer" config panel)

You could have continued using your lost config indefinitely -- until you Export again.

Windows auto restart just sucks. It only has to happen once before you turn that sucker off forever.
