Blah... Scryer or Aldor ?

So what do you guys do when you have to decide between Scryer and Aldor?

For example, from WoW's forums, the general consensus is that for Priest it's better to go Aldor and for Warlock it's better to go Scryer.

Which do you pick?

At the end of the day, the rewards doesn't seem to matter, so I guess picking one or the other for the entire group wouldn't matter.

Right now, I'm just deciding to go Scryer because it's closer to the flight path NPC, and my main Hunter is already Scryer.

Also, scryer is better because you don't have to wait for the elevator.

... yeah, there really isn't that big of a difference between the two, plus It's going to be a bigger pain to try and separate your toons. I honestly agree, go Scryer.

The large majority of people go Aldor; few go Scryer. THis is both good and bad. Scryer rep items cost more due to fewer being up, though at the same time you can make a killing trading Aldor rep items for them. Also, due to the lower population on SCryer, Scryer-specific patterns/recipes aren't around much(Runed Blood Garnet for example) and can give you an economic edge/monopoly ;p

In the end though, check wowwiki.com's comparison listing of the faction rewards and see which rep rewards'll benefit you more :p

Scryer.

The reason I say scryer is because it's damn convenient. Everything you need is right there next to the inn. Only thing on Aldor tier is a staff vendor on the bum-fuck other side. Also, there is no dying from falling off the elevator.

If you're thinking of repping up all your guys for Aldor/Scryer rewards that's a massive achievement of money and/or time for farming to get all those turn ins. And basically all that's to show for it is some crappy shoulder enchant and a few designs or patterns. It may be more important for your particular characters and what you're going for, so check out the rep/rewards of each.. (+healing? Or +spell crit, for instance).

I only have two accounts and one is Aldor, the other Scryer just for the professions they each have. I choose to get them rep, because I get arcane tomes as well as fel armaments and it works out alright. The quests they get can't be shared, but do occasionally coincide, and it's only a minor inconvenience to fly across the eastern end of SMV to regroup.

Between the two though, Scryer is the most convenient and time-saving in terms of getting repaired/buying arrows/food/and flying down to lower city to get meat and reagents. And it's closer to the FP.

I perfer Aldor. The shops and elevator are a bit inconvenient but you get better (honored) shoulder enchants at least for casters. I'd rather not grind to exalted when multiboxing.

Honored Shoulder Enchant:
Scryer (+crit)
Aldor (+damage)

I usually go Aldor unless there is a nice profession recipie I want. So far out of 6 characters on dethecus only my Warlock has gone Scryer. Mainly for the Spellthread recipe. Although I have yet to become exalted with Scryer because of the huge gold sink involved.

Aldor rep is far easier to grind then Scryer because of the greater drop rate on marks. I loathe grinding Sunfury Signets horrible drop rate, poor respawn rate and overly farmed on my server.

Check out the epic items at Exalted, there are some nice rewards that will last you through T4 content (spell damage ring/fast dagger with scryer, or slow sword/mana regen neck with aldor.) Other than that, scryer shoulder enchants are more pvp oriented (crit > dmg/ap) while aldor are more pve oriented.

It doesn't really matter much in the end. I picked Scryer because their rep items are consistently cheaper on the AH than Aldor's .

scryer, because Blood Elves kick ass. Since TBC has come out, all my guys have been blood elves and all of them have been scryer.
