WoW is pretty much completely dependent on RAM and CPU bandwidth. I swapped a huge GPU upgrade this year, and it did nothing at all. So I returned it.

For true. Upgrade RAM then CPU then graphics card if you really must. I watch a system resources meter while I play and the only thing that moves on it is RAM useage, CPU is constantly hovering around 10% and only moves when I load a new zone. I really wish Blizzard would put some development into crossfire optimization.
