Default Discipline Priest DPS Macro help

My Disc priests team just hit lv70, and their DPS is around 600. Basically, I just spam Holy Fire and Smite. I think it is kind of low in comparison to the other DPS toons at the same level. Not sure if anyone has Disc Priest team and can help to share some nice macros to pump their DPS. Thanks in advance

I would think you would want:

    1. Penance
    2. SW: Pain
    3. Devouring Plague
    4. Mind Blast
    5. Mind Flay

    1. Penance
    2. SW: Pain
    3. Devouring Plague
    4. Holy Fire
    5. Smite

Not sure that you're deep enough into shadow, for Mind Flay. It really depends on your build. Decide which spells you want to include, and then prioritize them. I use wowwiki to look up abilities too.

    http://www.wowwiki.com/Priest_abilities

Penance is every 12 seconds, glyphed its every 10 seconds.
    SW: Pain lasts 18 seconds.
    Devouring Plague lasts 24 seconds.
Mind Blast has an 8 second cooldown.
Holy Fire has a 10 second cooldown.
Mind Flay or Smite, depending on the build will be the final ability.

Not sure if you'd include PW: Death, PW: Shield, Power Infusion etc in your click sequence.

Next you need to know your click speed (how quickly you spam).
I personally spam one click every half second (2 clicks per second).

Assuming you put your spells in the Right vertical bar, your macro will look like this.

    Big Button.
    /Click MultiBarRightButton1
    /Click MultiBarRightButton2
    /Click MultiBarRightButton3
    /Click MultiBarRightButton4
    /Click MultiBarRightButton5

    Button 1:
    #show Penance
    /castsequence [nochanneling] reset=combat Penance,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    Button 2:
    #show Shadow Word: Pain
/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=combat Shadow Word: Pain,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    Button 3:
    #show Devouring Plague
    /castsequence [nochanneling] reset=combat Devouring Plague,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,

    Button 4:
    #show Mind Blast
    /castsequence [nochanneling] reset=combat Mind Blast,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    Button 5:
    #show Mind Flay
    /cast [nochanneling] Mind Flay

Obviously if you don't have Penance yet, and have not gone the shadow route, you will not need the [nochanneling] arguement.

Just replace the spells on the buttons with the spells you prioritize. If you're Disc/Holy, your sequence will be: Penance, SW: Pain, Devouring Plague, Holy Fire, Smite (possibly Mind Blast here too).

    Ualaa,

Thanks a lot for your help, and it definitely gives me a good guidance how to focus on improving my priests' DPS. My Disc priests are now on quick Disc Priest leveling build, and they are not deep enough to have Penance. I will respec one of them to test out your macros, and to see how it goes.

    Could you add

    /cast Inner Focus

to the big macro and not stop the macro?
