This reminds me of one of the stupidier moments of my life. Years ago I lived in an Apartment with my GF I was very much into FPS. I played quake2 religiously. Our clan was not in real contention for greatness but we were sponsered by Subway. They gave us free sandwich coupons LOL.

I was in the middle of a tournement. A tourny for crying out loud! My GF was literally on the bed naked behind me and said something and to this day I have no idea what it was. But it was a come hither of some sort I am sure. I turned around and said something along the lines of "be right there"

A few hours later I am looking for her.. nothing. She had packed her bags and was on the road to Dallas (12 hours away) to stay with her mom. The groveling I had to do was of momunmental proportions.

HA! I can relate though. I used to be heavily into 40-man raiding, like 6 hours a day 6 days a week. I'm embarrassed to say that on quite a few occasions I turned down sex with the wife to raid instead...

Fortunately I went EMO one raid night (naxx40-burnout FTW!) and got gkicked, that's what saved my marriage! It was almost over from what the wife tells me now...

I still claim I was legit to go EMO though...the whole 40-man spent 1.5 hours running around getting every world buff imaginable for Loatheb, and burnt about 100g/player in consumables, and then the stupid hunter officer right-clicks the boss and wipes the raid...

While I look back on that moment with a smile if I pulled that with my wife (not the same girl) today it would not go over well. i would have to pull a Kobe and buy something shiny to make up for it. I have a gaggle of kids and a wife to split attention with along with WoW it is a balancing act! I have 4 computers in my office and a fair amount of floor space I can have 2-3 kids in the office with me and since I 5 box I can AFK whenever I need to. That is the greatest motivator for me to 5 box.
