    Default Virtualising 'nosound.txt' for EQ1

To minimise memory usage you can create nosound.txt file in the everquest directory and EQ1 wont process any sound.

Is it possible to Virtualise this file using the ISBoxer Toolkit, and if so how? I've tried creating a 'nosound.txt' under Virtual Files, and attaching the appropriate game instances to it, but no joy.

I run 3 accounts off the same directory, so only one needs sound.

    Default

No, a virtual file would not be an appropriate way to handle that (it wouldn't work as desired)

To be honest, the nosound.txt thing is an ugly hack built into EQ1 and it would probably take an ugly hack to support this particular feature. Why that would not be configurable through their eqclient.ini file, as opposed to checking for the existence of an arbitrary file, is waaaay beyond me.

However, I will keep this in mind for future updates. I can probably find a proper solution.
