Ohznoz... I kant haz all yur werk fur freebiez?! butt I am teh leetzest... I multi-box...
    .......

    and PWNT!

Best part is... If you had ACTUALLY searched for different software options, you wouldn't have been flamed like a Thanksgiving Day Turkey. I'm not saying that you "lied" about looking around... but I can assure you that the info you want is NOT hidden deep in some 10,000 post thread. Try READING what the Forum Categories are titled... that one called "Software"... it MIGHT (just might) have some info in there about free MB software.

    Rough crowd….

For me personally I went the HotKeyNet/HKN2 route as I use dual monitors, and the mouse broadcasting although not perfect, is adequate for my needs…the $19.99 was not even part of the decision.

I do tend to keep a distance from software that has continual enrollment fees; ie monthly ect unless it is something that I find necessary and/or cannot “live” without. Obviously paying 5-subscriptions is necessary if I want to interact with my friends.
I could go the private server route, but choose not too; and software that I do not understand makes me nervous, I can name one in particular that will get you banned.

HotKeyNet thus far has allowed me to do everything that “I” currently need; should my needs exceed the capabilities of said software I will look at alternatives. I enjoy the continual modification of the original script that HotKeyNet provided me with, to further enhance my gaming pleasure; this too is part of the multi-box immersion that I currently enjoy.
I have no idea if you can do this with the other pay per license software; this would be something I would need to investigate before making any such transition.

Now should the developer of HotKeyNet ask for payment; I would not hesitate to provide a fair compensation for the time and testing spent in development. Like others have said…an extra $20.00 is nothing…I run 5-box because I can, both financially and technologically. I didn’t need the Logitech G-13 gaming pad….I wanted it….How much it cost at the time was not a factor because I could afford it, and it enhanced my gaming pleasure.

QFT. I love HotKeyNet, I would have gladly paid for Keyclone except in my initial research I found the script-customizable HotKeyNet to be more easy to bend to my needs (ie transmit certain keys ONLY to certain clients, not to all wow clients). I'd gladly have paid for HKN if there was a fee involved, and if the author chooses to charge a fee in the future I'll gladly pay it. (provided it's comparable IE $20 onetime and not a monthly fee)
