Thread: heal targets

I'm too lazy to look up the link, but Zan or Lax wrote a tutorial on setting up window regions where its a persistent "click through" to the slave windows of choice.

So, I set up a region on my main (Paladin) that passes clicks through to the exact same spot on just my priest's client.

I then set up healbot to occupy the same spot on both screens and reorder the party on my priest to match my Paladin.

I then disabled most of the casting clicks on my paladin window other than "shift click" which is cleanse. I then set "shift click" on my prest to nothing.

    Voila.

When I left click a toon on my healbot with my main (paladin) my priest casts a flash heal on that toon.

When I middle click, my priest casts renew.

When I right click, my priest casts greater heal.

When I alt-click, my priest casts Circle of Healing.

    etc.

The Idea is to have one healer, then set the add-on of choice. Now on the healer set up a Repeater Region on IS. Then when you are on any other toon, you can click on your heal spells.
Talked to Lax on my problem and it was my error. Use zone/slot 1 and it applies auto-magically
RAF Tour Guide files are obsolete, I went to Zygor

On my paly and non healing slaves, I only cover about a third of the healing bars with my repeater region. This leaves me room to slide over and do a cleanse from the paly just like you would normally. This also leaves room to add another region to pass clicks to a mage or druid if I substitute a character.

This way cleanse is only a left click and I don't have to move my hand off the G13 to press shift. : )

Great tip Moose. Hadn't thought of that.

I could possibly use this to enable to shaman's healing if I wanted to try and double heal something. Hadn't through of that, but it would make it ez mode. Shaman on half of bar, priest on other half.

Now, considering I'm so anti daily where am I going to come up with the 1k to dual spec?

Would definetly also be interesting for Druids, where everyone in a 5-man group can heal. Very interesting thread here. Nice info. Im definetly going to tryout Vuhdo this weekend. Can't wait. It sounds like Vuhdo combined with ISboxers repeater regions is the way to go.

    I'm using Grid + GridCustomLayouts + Clique.
We can accomplish this with just Healbot or just Vuhdo.

It seems one addon is probably a superior route then several.
The more addons you use, the more likely something will eventually break.
At least we have several options, in the event that one breaks beyond repair.
Also, due to the number of healers out there, someone might takeover the maintenance of an addon whose author quits.
Or someone will develop their own; its not like healers are a small niche community.

I setup the healing for my 5 druids this weekend using Vuhdo and ISboxer's Repeater Regions.

I ended up using macros in Vuhdo so my toons don't heal if they are in any stance except Tree of Life. Works like a charm. Way better than my earlier macro healing setup.

I am working on a DK + 4 ret pally team and I am having an issue with heals and buffs only when my dk is lead when using ISBoxer. All other functions seem to be working fine and all the heals and buffs are working when I have one of my pallies on my main screen.

I used the wizard to set up the team so have the basic FTL config with some added functions. I use grid on my healer but wanted to stay away from using it with this team. Is there a way to set up a FTL function that will work when I have my DK in lead or am I going to be forced to set up a healing mod with mouse clicks?

    Thanks.

The healing mod with clicks is by far the strongest option.
In that you can click any number of heals.
From any window, irregardless of leader.
You can set it to a raid, or party or whatever.

Nothing is stopping you from going the macro route.
Create macro's on the desired toons, on whatever keybind you like.
Then create Keymaps as desired within InnerSpace.
Each will have a hotkey to activate, a target of choice and an output key when pressed.

At its simplest, you can put your heals on an FTL dps key.
No matter which toon you play, if you click that key, they all heal your target.
If their macro (within warcraft) is: "/cast [help] Heal; [help, target=targettarget] Heal" (without the quotes), then even if your main is targeting a hostile, the heal will go to the hostile's target.

I just sent up grid on each of them and I am now able to heal no matter who is leader. Still trying to figure out how to set up grid so they are all in the same order. Right now I can't heal who I want. But hey, it's a step closer.
