    Default Levelling in WOTLK

    Hi guys,

I have read in other posts that one of the best ways to level in WOTLK is to quest - and do the 'daily' quests everyday like the plane one in Howling Fjord and the ones in Grizzly Hills get mentioned alot.

Can anyone tell me if there is a thread listing the various quests and what level I an do them at and if there mbox friendly? Done a few searches but I seem to end up in all the Icecrown/AT quest threads.

Also any other general tips? I'm doing the instances when I get the quests but really need a way to grind out some fast consistant XP each day even if I dont get much else done.

I did every single quest in Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, Grizzly Hills, Dragon Blight, and Zul'Drak. I also did enough quests in Icecrown to unlock all the dailies on the skyship and shadow vault.

The problem with questing in Northrend is that you only get a small amount of quests in each hub. Say 2-4. Issue is that they are ALL quest chains. Do these 2 quests and come back for 2 more. So if you take a look at say thottbot at the quests, there are a lot of quests that are MB friendly. Its just not MB friendly to unlock them. However almost all the daily quests are MB friendly. Only a few are not like the walrus peoples quests. So once you get them unlocked, (for me at least) they became a primary source of xp while leveling.

There is a Northrend quest guide in one of the stickies that is fairly MB friendly. Sevugas brain dump or something. I remember looking at it a while back, but was not impressed with the whole MS silverlight and ui plug-in thing. I prefer a nice easy txt doc or something like Jame's leveling guides that you can just reference in a browser.

You can also do AV - it's like 4-6 hours a level depending on how much you win and you'll have a full set of epic pvp gear by 80. It's by far the easiest and fastest way to level now. Even if you don't want to pvp, you can do heroics in that gear straight away

Yea, I think I've been converted to the AV grind. It'll no doubt get tedious like instance boosting, but it works. No running from zone to zone, no collection quests to unlock the rest of a chain, and you get decent gear in the end.

By the way, hows AV in the 61->70 Bracket? Cant decide if I'm going to wait for 71 or get started now....

61-70 bracket has shit xp, but they are fixing it. Maybe they are nerfing the 71-80 bracket in the process though =(

i chose the AV way also, between 4 and 7 hours a level and it's pretty easy and fun mostly. SUCKS when you get back to back 40 minute games though. That really hurts the leveling pace. 61-70 is total crap xp, don't bother unless you die for pvp. I actually boosted my team from 62 to 70 in about 10 or 12 hours i think on northrend mobs. that probably includes being camped by 80 allies from time to time also.

I been grinding AV like crazy with my 75's hoping to hell they don't nerf it. It's better than all the other bgs' by far xp wise, mostly because 10 minute games net you anywhere from 75 to 150k xp.

That's odd, as I thought BG XP was percentage based, i.e. it scaled with levels. Oh well, Instance boosting till 70 it is I guess. May throw in the odd quest, but really hate questing, even on 1 only toon.

62-70 in 12 hours is pretty amazing tho on northrend mobs... may look into it, especially since I can solo Nexus on my Pally who I'm using for boosting. I think you get there ~75 from memory.

crap, actually, i just remembered i went from 61.75 to 68. At that point i was so tired of it i just went and did northrend quests till 71. Still, about or under 2 hours a level in the 60's is pretty damn fast imo.
I ground rhino's just outside of warson hold. The longest one is 70 to 71, you run out of quests without having to delve into the collection shit that's a nightmare (if you started at 68)

Yea, may do that around 68 also. Do the first few Northrend quests in each zone which aren't collection, then finish up in Nexus before AV.

I was thinking of AV pre 70 to get the 70 PvP set, but tbh, through instances I can get the rep to just buy the vendor blue sets. I know they're crap and will be outdated fast, but my teams still wearing level 1 gear lol. Also, my 5 man team becomes a 3 man team from 60+ as 2 of my accounts aren't BC I just used them for RAF free levels and tripple XP. There's no point upgrading them either as I have a few RL mates who I raid with and are happy for me to use their accounts for 5 mans... they just want free badges! But considering they're in T8.5+ gear like my Pally it'll make heroic farming cake.

Not to rain on your parade.. but it's illegal to use others' accounts and as a multi boxer you'll be under the spotlight of reports etc.. And risk your and your friends accounts being banned.. If free badges are worth the ban, then go ahead.. but if not, Reactivate those 2 accounts >.>
