Combat Lag

Ok so this really isn't entirely a Multi Boxing issue but it is.

For a year now I get combat lag on my Vista 64 system. I 5 box on my system no problem. 8 Gigs of RAM, ATI Radeon 4850 on a Quad Core.

Anyways pretty much the lag happens whenever I am in combat, and not all the time just random. I get it while boxing but I guess I just don't noticed it as bad, but when I solo play I see it all the time.

Anyways I've updated my video drivers but I've heard of this problem now recently that might be affecting me.

I run my setup on a ADSL modem that is hooked into a Linksys Wireless G with Speedboost Router, which then I use a wireless adapter on my desktop to connect to the internet.

I do not have any wired PC's to my router (Run a desktop and a laptop) just use the wireless and thats it. I have the latest firmware on my Router and I've enabled Port Forwarding of the proper ports for WOW to run and I use a static IP for my desktop to allow this.

I do not have this problem on my laptop which can only run a solo wow game anyways but its specs are far worse (XP, 2 Gigs of RAM and a ATI X1600 video card).

I've ran out of ideas, I ended up going into my network properties and disabled everything but my IPv4 protocols to see if that would help because someone suggested it but no good.

Anyone else have any ideas? It really does kill my chances at Gladiator as a solo char because of it.

help to know your ping and latency. You might have someone steraling your net also

I'd bet money it's an addon or combination of addons. Last time it happened to me was when I had a hacked up copy of Scrolling Combat Text showing damage from my alts and forgot to set the animation mode to "FPS-independent." If you haven't tried yet, give disabling your addons a shot and see if it helps. Yeah, it'll suck for a while but you can test it on target dummies as that's technically combat and it's safe. :P

ok so normally I only was running with the addon's of (Recount, Jamba, SDM) and thats it. I heard that recount could also cause this problem as well so I disabled it. I only recently added SDM so that was never the issue, and I had this issue before I ever used Jamba. I used the Registry edit long ago so my ping most of the time is like 50-60ms

So I was surfing super late last night and I found out that Vista for some reason scans Wireless Routers every 30-60 seconds which could be causing the lag. I ended up finding this post last night from a europe blizzard tech:
