Pitbull v4

I downloaded the new Pitbull last night and for the random times my server was up I was both impressed and disappointed.

Configuring Pitbull seems to be much faster and easier, which is great. However, it seems there's a ton of functionality missing.

Does anyone know how to change the text shown in your party? For example, each toons frame has their name, level, health/max health, mana/max mana, etc. All I want it to do is show their name. In Pitbull v3 I was able to customize what exact text I wanted to show up.

Additionally, in v3 I could have my cast bar to the left or right of my health/mana bar. That functionality seems to be removed. Anyone know if the addon is just far from complete or if this is the limited functionality they intended?

Currently all I'm using Pitbull for is to sort my party alphabetically, which I'm praying Jafula implements anyway.

It can still use dogtags. I'm pretty sure it defaults to lua text or something like that now though. I suck at lua but it performs alot better than dogtags.

Why do you need V4?

My V3 crapped out last night. I enabled out of date addons and did a /pitbull and nothing came up.

Come to think of it, did I need V4? Man, I'd be pissed at myself if I overwrote all my changes I made to V3 since I had it almost exactly how I wanted it. I just figured V3 wasn't compatible with patch 3.2.

Heh. I just grabbed the latest 3.x version with the curse update client. Seemed to work fine for me.

You can achieve everything in v4 that you could in v3 but the configuration has changed a lot. The only reason not to use v4 right now is if you want ToT, ToTT, ToF, ToFT as these can cause a severe framerate dip - this will get fixed when they review the performance probably just prior to the first release version.

I was able to get my v3 configuration back and it's working well.

I played with v4 for about an hour last night but wasn't able to get the dog tags and cast bars the way I like them.

how do you get the target / player frames to dissapear when not in combat? I checked this fade option but it doesnt seem to work. Im a die hard minamalistic but i realy gotta have the target/player bars somewhere near the center. but when im traveling they are a real pain blocking everything.
