It probably depends on the server to some degree. World PvP on Bonechewer was either kept to very limited areas or just plain dead. I tended to stay away from the really bad areas (STV, Hillsbrad, etc) and generally didn't make any effort at seeming upset nor interested when someone ganked me. So players who ganked me typically just moved on. I never got camped during my time on a PvP server (two characters to 70/71 and one to 62 before I moved to a PvE server). I never cared for PvP but I learned to live with ganking and not let it bug me.

The thing that always DID bug me was people who whined about it, even though they decided on a PvP server. The reason I rolled characters on Bonechewer was because my friends (avid PvPers) wanted to play there. I decided not to complain about ganking because I felt that it was my choice to join them, and no one likes that person who joins on a PvP server then constantly complains "GREAT I GOT GANKED AGAIN" in order to punish everyone else for choosing a PvP realm. We had one friend like that and it drove us crazy.

So imagine how annoyed it felt when the people who WANTED to roll on a PvP server turned out to be the loudest whiners? The same people who always talked a good game "YEAH WE GONNA GANK AND GRIEF LOLz" were the ones who would constantly bitch and moan. "OH THAT FUCKER GANKED ME AT LOW HEALTH" "GREAT NOW HE'S GOT A MAGE WITH HIM" "HOLY FUCKING DOG THEY WON'T GO AWAY" "DAMMIT I'M LOGGING WHERE'S MY RAZOR." And so on and so on. I mean really, this is what you signed up for! Shut up!!!

Anyway, I'm on a PvE server now and no longer worry about being ganked. The worst I ever see from players is they try standing on the bobber when I'm fishing or mounting up in front of an NPC. I barely even notice them. Oh, what's that? I'm not flagged? LOL guess you can't get your jollies! Keep trying though, it's cute!
