Crap!

Fired up my keyclone this morning after I got home from work, fired up my 3 wows, typed in my passwords and left to go get a drink, came back to find that all three of my WoW's tried to download and install a hotfix or something at the same time. Normally, this would be fine, but I've got my master and slave symlinked via Winbolic Link to a main folder, and they all tried to update it at once, and now nothing works.

when I try to open my master window, WoW won't even load, and I get this error

"Failed to open archive interface.MPQ"

And in my slave windows they both load up to the login screen fine, but when I try and login, I get an error that says I need to restart and install an update, so I try that. Download and install the update, then I get this error;

"The file '\base\signaturefile' could not be opened. If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard tech support. (InstallerFile::Open)"

Also says to try the repair function, tried it, and it didn't work..

You need to recreate the links. The install broke the links on my install this morning. Shouldn't be to hard to fix.

I just tried that. It worked on my main clone, but the other two still think they need to update >.<

Why can't you just copy a working drone over the top of the not-working ones? Just don't copy WTF, Screenshots, Interface, etc if you have drone-specific settings, mods...

Every time there's a patch, I just patch the main and copy the non-specific stuff into the drone directory, and it works a treat. Even when I login without realising there was a patch and get into the same mess you're now in

trying that now.. I don't understand why just resetting the links worked for one drone, but not the other two

UPDATE: Whew.... worked on one, trying the other one now
