short: nice but potentially razer + razer addons = fail

long: Seems nice but given the whining on the interwebz about razer's inability to patch/update their old products (apparently they'd rather sell you new ones) and WoW's constantly changing nature the razer addons could be more of a liability than anything.

If the mouse can be used as merely a button repeater (not sure if that's the correct term for binding ctrl, alt, del, tab, etc., to it) then it would possibly be much more useful. If not it's dead in the water I think.

Either way (compulsory razer addons or not) I'd hazard a guess that the build quality is better than the steelseries mouse criticised on this and other websites.

People far more intelligent than me will probably work out a way to get it and a logitech g13 to work together so you almost never need to move your hands (reaction time FTW).

Actualy, Razer is pretty well known for putting out shitty products too, I cant remember the RMA rate, but it's well above normal. 3 of my friends and myself all had a razer mouse fail on us after only a couple months of use which is just insane considering I had my first mouse for well over 6 years haha.

If you do end up getting it, I'd love to hear your experiences.

Button overload for sure. I do admit that getting this along with my G13 might be pretty sweet. I am not sure I would use the addon but the hardware itself seems nifty.

G13, X-Keys Pro and Logitech Revolution is what I use now I can see this being handy for some healing assignments.........

My muscle memory can probably handle about 6 thumb buttons, three rows of 2 each, but not like this....
If you look at some of the pictures with higher resolution, you can see that rows two and 4 have nubs (across the entire row of three keys). In image 2 (here) you can see what I am talking about... on the #12 button. Also, if the nubs are not enough, they have the "Trainer" (see videos)... so that you can learn where the keys are.

17 buttons... plus modifiers (including multi-modifiers)... plus G15 = WIN.

Hmm I think I might try this. I'm all about mouse buttons lol. Can't stand buttons on the right side of the mouse though. My pinky was broke once upon a time and just isn't dexterous enough without hurting after awhile to use them. With a numpad on the mouse on the left side is pretty kick ass. Will have to see the software for it first before I get one though. So many mice fail just because of their software.

I'll bet we can get native support for this mouse in Innerspace. If we do, then the addon/software from Razor becomes moot (for me anyway). This mouse would make click broadcast healing a bit more manageable. Wishing upon the gaming gods that it is direct input compatible.

MX518 = best mouse for MMOs, not too many buttons (but more than usual) and really solid. Had mine so far for maybe 3 years and not an ounce of problems. Logitech makes good stuff from my experience. I like the idea of the Razer, but I can see too many things to break and I've also heard their history with bad quality.

can carpal tunnel happen only in the thumb?
it looks overboard. but thats just my first impression. pressing those keys with my thumb will strain my thumb and will cause my mouse pointing to lose a bit of precision. i'd just like a top-bottom button on the side of the mouse, i mean i think thats how our tumbs naturally move anyway.
    again, first impressions.
