While the normal 360s do not support HDMI at all to my knowledge with out some kind of adapter. The black elites do audio and video through the HDMI port just fine. Same for the PS3, one HDMI for both.
Of note, the PS3 will do fine on its side like that, you are leaving the heat on the hot part of the PS3.. The 360 however is known for heating problems and unfortunately when stood on its side like that, it vents the heat of the CPU/GPUs over all the rest of the hardware.. including the harddrive and such that is usually on the top. Just a word of caution that a shelf might be better for a horizontal 360

my xbox does have HDMI but dont think it suports sound only video.

i like the before and after pics nice clean set up. -.- still waiting on the day to get my 2nd 23" acer damn it lol. wife stole my secondary 20" and now i'm stuck with a 19" non-wide screen with a dead pixel that drives me nuts.
